If you don't know if you are ready to give a talk, take a long walk - alone. Instead of giving that talk to someone else, give it to yourself.
Organizing a TEDx event and getting your speakers good and ready!

I started planning my first TEDx event the day after they posted the initial TEDx announcement on the blog in the winter of 2009. I am now organizing my fifth TEDxColumbus and also curated a TEDxKids event for my kids' aftercare program. I have co-hosted the TEDx learning series webinars and presented at the TEDx workshops at TEDActive in 2011 and 2012. While my day job affords me a decent lifestyle, my TEDx work keeps my intellect from shriveling up and introduces something or someone interesting to me every day.
