About Me

Danielle D. Duplin is Vice President at the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology (FCAT), an innovation catalyst at Fidelity Investments. Danielle designs and produces seminars on emerging trends in business and technology that inform, inspire, and connect 40,000 employees worldwide with educators, experts and entrepreneurs.

Danielle is a co-founder and curator for TEDxBoston, where x=independently organized TED events that feature Boston area luminaries whose "Revolutionary Ideas" are solving global issues (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012). To date, TEDxBoston videos have been view over 7 million times worldwide.

In her previous roles as Director and Principal Software Engineer, Danielle and her teams designed and deployed innovative applications that helped debut Fidelity on the World Wide Web and launch a Benefits Outsourcing business. Additionally, Danielle created, wrote, directed, and hosted Telefest, an internal TV series on Fidelity's strategic initiatives which earned a Telly Award.

Danielle volunteers as a connector with Boston World Partnership, as a delegate on trade missions to Israel, Spain, and Portugal with the World Class Cities Partnership, and as a mentor to MassChallenge, an international start-up competition. Danielle is also on the board for Design That Matters, a non-profit that creates innovative products that allow social enterprises in developing countries to offer improved services and scale more quickly. DtM has built a collaborative design process through which hundreds of volunteers in academia and industry donate their skills and expertise to the creation of breakthrough products for communities in need.

Danielle began her career as a Software Engineer at Eaton Corp. in New York, American Science & Engineering in Cambridge, MA, and MIT Lincoln Labs in Bedford, MA. Danielle earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Computer Science with a minor in Theater Arts at the State University of New York at Binghamton, and an Executive Certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management.
