There is no Future, only an Ever Accelerating Now.
I am the tech monkey and a glassblower at the DO U GLASS Hot Shop, part of the Douglass School Art Place, in Murphysboro, IL.
I was born in downtown Los Angeles and was raised between there and a small town in San Diego County called Fallbrook. I am a combo city boy/small town type. I am shameless Californian, with a long time love of the Pacific Ocean. I am currently landlocked in Southern Illinois, which is beautiful, but has "very interesting" weather/climate.
I am also an undergraduate student at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, finishing a degree in Information Systems Technologies begun over 20 years ago. I was a cryptographic radio electronics tech in the U.S. Navy many years ago. I have been a field tech of one sort or another over my career. I am a MCSE and have a number of other tech certifications (for what that is worth) and have taught technology from in-house training to teaching vocational rehabilitation.
I have a long time interest in MBTI and consider myself to be an INTJ/P.
I try to achieve balance in my life between Art and Science. I find the blend to be more interesting then either standing alone.
My favorite quote is:
"Complex problems have simple, easy to understand wrong answers." H.L. Mencken (1895-1956)
The Earth
Most sociological problems have a technological solution
