-Simulations of lifestyle decisions' impacts on the body. E.g. click the "smoke cigarettes once a day" button and see what would likely happen to the entire body. "Run 30mins a day," etc. This might help people internalize their decisions better.
-Crowd-sourcing autopsies. This would be crazy.
-Surgery practice. Think of it as a big game of Operation! Perhaps like pilots and advanced flight simulators, surgeons could one day become certified just through this form of democratized practice.
What crazy ideas came to mind for you?

A comment on Talk: Marco Tempest: Augmented reality, techno-magic
As a magician, I have a profound respect for Marco: he captures and manipulates the essence of Clarke's idea better than anyone else in the world. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching him push our art to a new level, and I'm glad that TED has given him some highly-deserved stage time.
A comment on Talk: Eli Pariser: Beware online "filter bubbles"
...But what about Twitter? The crowd is the gatekeeper on Twitter, not personalized algorithms. Seeing what the world is talking about via trending topics is going to weed out the "dead squirrels on the lawns." Yes, the masses can talk about stupid things, but at least we can consciously maneuver around that informational landscape.
By choosing the diverse sources we want to hear from, alongside the possibility of holding our ears up against the world, isn't this the future you want to see, Eli?

A reply on Talk: Dave Meslin: The antidote to apathy
I've contacted speakers several times using the links provided on their bio pages. However, the fact that you need to search for it in the first place reemphasizes Meslin's argument...if you want to engage people, make it extremely easy to do so!
