The need for all inhabitants of planet earth to begin acting as the connected family that we are. With our global population exceeding 7 billion, the problems we face must be solved together.

An idea worth spreading

Patriotism Without Borders, a philosophy in which our consciousness expands far beyond the self-imposed limits of race, nationality, religion or politics and embraces the world as a holistic entity that requires the participation and dedication of all in order to survive and thrive.

This involves a systems thinking mindset, whereby we recognize that all things on the planet are connected and interdependent, and our actions must constitute a profound respect for life.

Recognizing that our global society exists at the intersection of sustainability and human rights, it is time to begin thinking and acting as a single family to solve the world's most vexing issues.

How we can move beyond our limited perspective and create a society that embraces all of humanity as one, and in the process, comes to respect the fragile planet that we call home.

People don't know that I'm good at

Examining a wealth of information, connecting the dots, seeing underlying patterns of activity, understanding the consequences, then crafting a plan which utilizes all available resources.

My TED Story

I've watched TED Talks for a long time, then had the pleasure of attending TEDxSanDiego since its inception in 2010, attended TEDxAmericasFinestCity, TEDxMiracleMile & TEDxSDSU in 2012, and recently spoke at TEDxNewBedford on September 5 2012. What I see is our news industry increasingly focused on sensationalism and political rhetoric, and that development has placed TED / TEDx in a position to be the central source of both inspiration and creative thinking on a global scale. At this point my dream would be curating TEDxGlobalPatriot as a way to bring together thought leaders who are passionate about solving issues related to sustainability and human rights.
