I believe sharing ideas is a major force for saving lives and leading a social-consciousness/social-action revolution. I value the exchange of information found via social media outlets and human connection.
Originally, from Monroe, MI, I graduated with a BA in Government and minor in Business Management from the Tribe. I began my service journey as a Sharpe Community Scholar, and have stayed involved in service through participation in a Branch Out National service trip with Teach for America, local service days with education and health nonprofits, and an international service trip called the Bosnia Project. I worked as a service leader in Washington D.C. for Youth Service Opportunities Project, focusing on issues of hunger and homelessness, and as an Elective Teacher in Anacostia, focusing on education and fitness.
I am an active alumna of Gamma Phi Beta sorority and the Culver Academies.
I believe in the concept of Ubuntu – I am because you are. We are all inter-connected. We cannot be human all by ourselves.
