Co-Founder of Maptia and city-dwelling surfer. As a recent graduate I have taken the proverbial cliff jump into the world of entrepreneurship and am attempting to build my wings on the way down. Currently based in Santiago and part of the Start Up Chile incubator programme, I am running the business strategy and marketing side of Maptia. We are building the most inspirational map in the world and learning lots along the way!
Travel. I've been lucky enough to have backpacked through SE Asia and Europe and the experience has taught me more than any amount of time in a classroom could have done.
“Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt.”
William Shakespeare. Many of the greatest inventions were the result of a process of trial and error whereby errors often provide the greatest source of insights on what adjustments to make in order to achieve success. Hence, is true learning possible without making mistakes? And can risks be avoided when pursuing a new path? Or does this lead to stagnation? And, from a macro perspective, what causes some individuals as well as societies to embrace risks while others take every precaution to avoid it? The BIG idea is to redefine success as a process not an outcome. Cultural shifts don't happen overnight. People must be given references to back up the belief so that it becomes a conviction.
Start Ups. Anything and everything about startups excites me and I would love to trade stories and advice with anyone who has the time to listen.
Surfing. When I'm surfing everything else fades away. I love the ocean - Its where my heart beats the hardest.
is in the making. I hope to be able to make a meaningful contribution to the TED community and share the powerful idea that success is a process not an outcome.
