My TED Story

My TEDx story started when I was studying for the vocab section of the SATs ( a standardized test). How I dreaded those days. One of my flashcards was the word "innovative". To me. being innovative means to bring genuine change to a community and advance collaboration Now I remember watching a Sir Ken Robinson video a few back and realized that my life really had no benefit by studying for a test besides college admissions. I knew that in my school community there needed to be a great change in attitude towards education. I realized that TEDx was the greatest platform to bring my fellow classmates together and truly understand what education needed to be. I wrote TEDx on that flashcard innovative and taped it onto my wall with electrical tape. It was my constant reminder to help me achieve my goal of organizing such an event by the end of the year. In retrospect after organizing my first event, there are no words to describe my experience. I can't wait to do it again.
