Olivia is mostly known as the founder of Green Drinks Singapore, the local chapter of an internationally-recognised movement with a presence in more than 800 cities. Founded in November 2007, Green Drinks Singapore connects businesses, government, green businesses, NGOs and likeminded individuals for knowledge sharing and collaboration opportunities.
After hearing so many companies in the business of sustainability talk about difficulties penetrating the market, usually start-ups with great products but little or no recognition, Olivia thought to support the green economy by setting up Sustainable PR in April 2010 to raise awareness of green small and medium businesses, its products and services.
Olivia sits on the Board of Advisors for Avelife, a youth non-governmental organisation, and is an ambassador of Give.sg, a social enterprise and platform that gives everyone a way to support charities through online fundraising and donations. Outside of this, she contributes sustainability stories to eco-business.com and Green Kampong, enjoys travelling, reading, writing, blogging, connecting to her spiritual side, and fussing over her six bantam chickens.
Olivia studied Mass Communication at Murdoch University majoring in journalism and public relations, and completed a post-graduate diploma in public relations at Curtin University during her 7-year stay in Western Australia. This was the start of her love for Communications, which was further developed when she joined Hill & Knowlton Singapore for almost 3 years, and taught the subject to Republic Polytechnic students for 1½ years.
The environment, green business ideas, social impact, connecting people, promoting green businesses, and positive change.
