More About Me

I'm passionate about

learning, education, understanding how the world works, helping to change the world.

An idea worth spreading

I wouldn't say an idea worth spreading, but a dream: Having TED in spanish (both a translation of TED materials, and a local TED in Colombia).

Now, an idea worth spreading: We are all learners. We're not just students, but learners through all our life.

UPDATE 2009: Well, now we have TED translations. One wish to go! :D

Talk to me about

Anything! I'll try and listen, and learn all I can about it. However, I'm especially interested in education, learning and the possibilities of technology to improve our educational systems.

People don't know that I'm good at

comedy, music (knowledge about it)

My TED Story

I don't remember how I found TED. I think it had to do with Jeff Han's presentation of his touchscreen technology, or maybe Wurman's Information Anxiety book. I'm really not sure.

But I have enjoyed every single minute I spend watching TED talks, or reading member contributions. I'm amazed at how many things we are able to do as a species, and at the same time how little do we know about our world.

I had the chance to attend TED@PalmSprings in 2009, which led me to get involved in the translation program. Right now I'm figuring out new ways to spread TED's message around.

  • A comment on Talk: Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity

Jun 12 2008: Hi there. If anyone is interested in an spanish text translation of Sir Robinson's talk, you can find it at http://tinyurl.com/47y5cn . This is intended to be sort of a "public service", not an ad, by the way. :-D.

Thanks for this inspiring and entertaining talk. Now I wish so many more of us could go through a presentation without any slides at all... *wink*
