  Jan 23 2013: Wow. Thats interesting. Never heard of Silicon Valley Syndrome. I know that Einstein didnt talk until very late as did a number of great physicists.
  
  I probably saw that SciAm article. I pretty much read all of the ones that have topics around mind or quantum mechanics.

  Jul 31 2012: Why aren't we focused on his opening line? "We don't need to build walls, we need to build bridges"? No matter what our political views are, until we start choosing to connect, share and open our minds we will perpetuate conflict and difference of view.

  Jul 11 2012: What if autism was not a "negative" but an acute version of a specific skill set that we can fully utilise? Yes there are factors that make their actions "not acceptable" to outsiders but what do these people have that is not available to the "average" person? Just a thought

  May 25 2011: 1. I am not afraid of death
  2. I am not afraid of life
  3. Im not done yet and commit fully each day to achieving my dreams.
  
  It took 10 years to realise my experience was even what people call an NDE. It took another 10 to realise above and how much time I had wasted in the mean time

• A comment on Conversation: Wealth and power have been our conventional measures of success. What definition will better sustain us now and how can we move into it?

  May 25 2011: I like Earl Nightingale's definition.
  
  "Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal".
  
  To me, that is all about how we evolve as human beings, communities and families. In this sense, your mother is absolutely successful. To have a daughter as a TED fellow is an extraordinary feat. There are not that many Fellows. Additionally, ANYONE who is brave enough to migrate anywhere has been successful. Moving overseas to live is one of the HARDEST things to do personally, financially and psychologically.
