An idea worth spreading

Life is striped in black and white - because after dark light always comes.

another idea, which actually has a big story behind it and was written by one russian writer (Petrushevskaya) as a introduction for censors when applying for permission to create a cartoon 'tale of tales' (dirceted by Norstein) :
Do you remember how long the days were when you were a child? Each day stood alone and we lived for that day - tomorrow would be there for tomorrow's pleassures. All truths were simple, everything new amazed us, and friendship and comradeship stood above all else'

Talk to me about

art, any kind of design and creative thinking, doodles, animation, education, psychology of children, criminals and artists, anything that relates with ways of thinking and generating ideas

People don't know that I'm good at

talking to myself, making random decisions, day-dreaming

  • A reply on Talk: Dan Meyer: Math class needs a makeover

May 16 2010: dear Stacy, i just want to tell that being neat when writing is not bad - i was neat in my math notes at school, cause i was always asked to be and i became an illustrator in the end, which is pretty creative subject. so i dont think there is any relation between being asked to be neat and hating math. And yes, i agree with you that math is creative and even messy sometimes. when i had some problems with math in my last years in high school while preparing for graduating exams, the thing that helped me a lot was a book of math tasks with answers in the end of it - firstly, it focuses mind on finding a way to solve a task from the actual answer, secondly, the answer does not become such a big deal cause you can see it in the end of a book anyway.
and i was so sad when i read your comment about that teacher who hated math her/himself. its sad, really sad. i hope you will find a way to solve that out.

    sorry for my poor english

Best luck for you and your son.
