More About Me

I'm passionate about

Tech, Lohas, Music, Social Meida, Zeitgeist

An idea worth spreading

Now it's the time to celebrate the circles of life. How can we use the high-tech to power ourselves. Just be simple, but be more to help ourselves and help others. It reminds me of one TEDtalk from Pranav Mistry: The thrilling potential of SixthSense technology. This could be ubiquitous. We should value the local community and let the new tech empower the local actions with global thinking.

Talk to me about

Tech, TMT, social media, Glocalizing, World traveller , Social Entrepreneurship, Zeitgeist, Web2.0.

People don't know that I'm good at

I am good at the social media and networks. I am addicted to the creative music and movies in different languages. I am also organizing the online groups of SXSW and SXSWi in weibo and so on.

My TED Story

To share the ideas worth spreading and share more and alike. We can do something special and come together. I also believe in the power of ideas to change attitudes, live and the world. One good idea can feed the whole world. That's why I would like to be a part of TED and do more, be more. My first TED talk is from David Pogue. It's amazing that a tech journalist could be such funny and is fantastic with the music live show too. I feel the same passion from many TED speakers. I am so proud of my self-identity as a TEDizen. In our local, I meet many talented people to self-organize TEDxFDU, TEDxFSS and so on. Indeed, we take the actions to share the spirit and ideas from TED to China. It's such a brilliant things. Certainlly, we have many things to improve. I wish I could be a curator of TEDx event too. So much to do. Shape up. Anga 2012.

Aug 31 2012: Fantastic talk. Thank you. Recently I have just edited the wikipedia pages of Udacity in bilingual and I have enrolled in some online classes in CS. I am inspired a lot by Daphne's talk. Thanks for your passion too.

I am sure that it's more fun to learn STEM with online communities and local one too. Besides, I am gald to join #meetudacity to learn something new from other local udacians. It's really awesome lifelong learning. Aha.

A reply on Talk: Abigail Washburn: Building US-China relations ... by banjo

Apr 19 2012: It's my first time to know @Abigail Washburn. Thanks for your sharing in Youtube, too.

As a Chinese, I like her music, especially bilingual one. Like most young people as a young generation, we learn the foreign languages, then we can enjoy more in digital times. What the surprise is , in our local Music festivals, for example Midi, there are many foreign bands in this stage to share the same passion too, even they could sing the Chinese songs, vice versa. Many Chinese bands, especially from Beijing, showed in SXSW and some concerts/gigs in NY and L.A. Most of them sing and create the songs in English. It reminds me of one song from Neil Young. Keep us searching for a heart of gold. I think these Culture exchanges could be more. We keep going and go get it.

Apr 19 2012: Your song is really touched me a lot. Just as you were singing." Outside your door the world is waiting. Inside your heart a voice is calling. The four corners of the world are watching, so travel daughter, travel. Go get it, girl. " As an introvert Chinese girl, go get it and see more, explore more and there is a chance let my passions make something else. Thank you so much for your love in China too. You are really make a difference through your songs with the real feelings and so on. It also reminds me of the Standup Comedies from Joe Wong. There are the melting pots of the soft Cultures. Go Get it.

A comment on Talk: Carl Honore: In praise of slowness

Feb 14 2011: It reminds me of Lohas lifestyle and free veganism. I have read the stories of Slow City. All of them sound very interesting. But if I did this slow way of life in my local city, I will be a little weird. Sometimes I will adjust myself into the normal life. It's hard to do and persisit in this kind of slow life. Do you try more in your daily life? I try this way out in two year. I really feel inspired. Have fun. Hallelujah -- what a wonderful life!

  • A comment on Talk: Rachel Botsman: The case for collaborative consumption

Jan 13 2011: Furthermore, we as Chinese have the big preassure to have a house, even have a car, or a high-profile self-identity. It's called "FACE" or "Mian Zi". It reminds me of one comparison image: in 1970s, to own a car is a must in Germany, but in 2010s, to ride a bike is a new green trend there, vice versa here. This kind of phenomenon in China is totally different. People are crazy to own a house or an appartment. People invest more money on the Real Estate
rather than the loved career as an entrepreneur. If you were a boy or a man, you should have an appartment, then you can marry. It doesn't make sense. What I learn that sharing is to ownership what the iPod is to the 8-track, what solar power is to the coal mine. I should revise this sentence to be one: sharing is to ownership what the Android is to the Opensource world, what green ecosystem network is to the real relationship. If I were the wise people, I should invest in the free culture about collaborative ingenuity, and Green future
  • A comment on Talk: Rachel Botsman: The case for collaborative consumption

Jan 13 2011: They can learn and share something different. They can live and learn, but the key is to have a new hobby and love the new tech. Hope I can buy the iPad or else to spur my parents to participate in the age of Internet and social media revolution. In other words, it's the time of Sharing. It's the best time for the collaborative work. It's also the worst time for the passive collaborative work. I would like to be a smart creator too. It's my best wish for 2011.

About collaborative consumption, it's my first time to know. So I check the wikipedia too to get more info. In western world, It's a new trend from the hyper consumption to the collaborative comsumption. People may pay more attention on their individual experience and their needs to satisfire their desire not only built on the possessions. In my daily life, I know the sharing car companies, couchsurfing, libraries and laundrettes, self-help backpacker and so on. (To be continued)
