About Me

With a great passion for ideas and how they shape our cognitive and emotional world, I keep on helping executives be their best through leadership and executive coaching. Utilizing my public affairs and marketing expertise, I am helping clients live out their intentions, discovering the power within them to improve their performance, effectiveness and reach. With over 25 years experience in international management, public relations, marketing and strategic philanthropy, my career focus has been building alliances with institutional stakeholders with primary emphasis on external audiences, such as opinion leaders, press, customers, and donors. Industry fields: Education, health care, energy, food, IT. Born in Greece, I studied law and then left for the U.S.A. where I got my Master's in Communication from Boston University, realizing my passion for people and the ways they click and connect with each other. After raising over $50 million for the Stanford Business School during a capital campaign, I moved back to Europe and worked for such large companies as BP, Vivartia and Microsoft. But, consulting and helping people connect, is what I have been doing during my corporate career. It was not enough to do it on the job and on the run. I felt the need to dedicate 100% of my attention to this growing need to help people tap into their own power. "Why Hesitate?" is a personal point of view, philosophy and approach as reflected in my blog (http://www.yhesitate.com).

More About Me

I'm passionate about

smart people and ideas that let you fly, freedom, non-conformity, boldness, courage, taking risks and trying hard to go after what you really want, not being afraid.

An idea worth spreading

Influencing is both an emotional as well as a cognitive function. Passion and boldness can make the art and science of influencing easier to navigate. So, have fire; feel with your brain; don't be afraid.

Talk to me about

Adaptability to change; passion in all forms for anything under the sun as long as it can convince me/excite me to spend the time to hear about it; movies; books; courage;boldness, no-fear.

People don't know that I'm good at

being sweet and understanding:-)

A comment on Conversation: What's your TED habit?

Oct 12 2011: I am subscribed to emails and I get all of the new talks - I visit them regularly - as often as once a week. I think TED is an inspirational platform - and I am a loyal supporter and fan - also on the SupporTED program and a proud member of the organizing committee of the TEDxAcademy Athens event:-)
