I am a feminist, speaker, blogger, social mediapreneur, global citizen (recently returned to Canada after residing in Dubai for 18 years), presentation skills coach and trainer, rabble-rouser, maverick and self-proclaimed amazing woman.
I believe the world will be a richer, better, more peaceful place when the voice of women worldwide is more clearly heard.
My life purpose is to help women rediscover and recognise their own value, find their voice, and speak up and out from their personal place of power using their unique speaking style and skills. Everything I do is somehow linked to that purpose.
I am a passionate advocate for gender parity everywhere, including on TED and TEDx stages. To help achieve that goal, I offer free coaching via Skype to TEDx women speakers, and so far have coached speakers for TEDxRamallah (http://www.tedxramallah.com/en/home/), TEDxAjman, and TEDxSantaCruz (http://www.tedxsantacruz.org/engage/). I spoke on gender parity at TEDxAjman (http://www.tedxajman.com/).
I am also the creator and curator of Amazing Women Rock (http://www.amazingwomenrock.com/), @SheSpeaksNow (http://twitter.com/SheSpeaksNow), and Unleash Amazing You (http://www.unleashamazingyou.com/index.php). I tweet as @SheSpeaksNow (http://twitter.com/SheSpeaksNow), @AmazingWomen (http://twitter.com/AmazingWomen), and @AmazingSusan (http://twitter.com/AmazingSusan), as well as part of the team for @SheTalksTED (http://twitter.com/SheTalksTED.

More TED women on more TED & TEDx stages.
During the last five years TED has become a well-recognised and highly respected global force for spreading creative, innovative, and powerful ideas. As an organisation, its intentions are clearly noble and good. It generates a constant stream of new and interesting ways to engage its rapidly growing international community in thought-provoking conversations that initiate positive change.
Through its individually licenced TEDx events, as well as other novel produts and forums, it's reaching an ever-widening global audience.
TED is perfectly placed to lead by example on a global scale on the issue of gender parity. It's ideally equipped to spark a paradigm shift, and thus to help bring greater balance to a what is clearly a gender-imbalanced world.

Watched a TED talk. Fell in love. Became an associate. Fell more deeply in love. Attended TED Global 2010. Surrendered completely.
