You cannot change anything by striving to change it because those who have a vested interest in keeping things as they are can easily anticipate you. All they need do is ponder what they would do, were they trying to change the status quo. Therefore, counter-intuitively, to be effective agents of change, we must avoid all semblance of striving for anything new and do something different... Bear in mind also that when we strive for change, we strive against all sorts of human factors such as habit, fear, ignorance, misinformation with the misnomer "common sense" and plain old stupidity - we will create uncomfortable feelings and thus strife. I suggest that we literally just "do something different", ie behave as if the change we desire has already taken place.
