A comment on Talk: Russell Foster: Why do we sleep?

Aug 23 2013: Isn't a better question: Why do we wake? Wouldn't we be better finding a safe place and staying there? But we have to go out and find food, drink, and mates.

I like the idea that maybe sleep is the default, and we have to justify wakefulness.
  • A reply on Talk: Chris Anderson (TED): Questions no one knows the answers to

Mar 12 2012: Is there such a thing as free will?

Where do we come from? (What came before the Big Bang?)

Are we alone in the universe? OK you've kind of covered this, and not just in one universe either :-)

    What happens when we die?

    What is a good life?

How can we achieve world peace? Is it even possible?

    Is there a God?

And more down to Earth, but still up in the sky :-) How come the moon fits exactly on top of the sun in an eclipse? Is that really just an enormous co-incidence?

A comment on Talk: Chris Anderson (TED): Questions no one knows the answers to

Mar 12 2012: Does Godel apply here? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6del%27s_incompleteness_theorems#First_incompleteness_theorem If it does then not only are there question we don't know the answers to there are questions we can't know the answers to, and if I understand correctly we won't be able to distinguish between the two.

Also, a kind of meta-question: Why should the origins of Life, the Universe, and Everything be such a mystery? Isn't that a mystery in itself?
