Yatin Sethi is a social entrepreneur from India, with a focus on technology and social media for social change. He is very passionate about supporting social entrepreneurs and has also co-founded and led different social initiatives in India.
In 2005, Yatin cofounded ‘Pankhudi Foundation’ that educates and benefits underprivileged children in six cities across India. In 2010, he also cofounded 'Art Pitara', and is leading this social initiative to bring together artists from different backgrounds to help develop creative potential in children.
Prior to this, he has also worked with initiatives like ‘Ashoka's Youth Venture’ in Washington DC and ‘i-become Initiative’ in India to provide strategic guidance and manage digital-media related projects, and online communities, to support young social entrepreneurs across the world achieve their potential. Yatin has been nominated as a TED Fellow, an Atlas Corps Fellow and a StartingBloc Fellow.
He has also worked as a Design Researcher with Hewlett-Packard Research Labs and Human Factors International in Bangalore, researching and developing technology products for emerging countries like India. He has a background in Information and Communication Technology and has completed courses on Hunger, Food and Agriculture with UN World Food Program and User Experience Design with Human Factors.
Yatin is married and currently works out of Mumbai. In his free time, he loves travelling to the countryside, or just having a peaceful conversation with nature. He also advises youth to venture into the social sector and works as an advisor to National Social Entrepreneurship Forum in India. He also maintains The Social Innovation Blog at www.yatinsethi.com.
