Jason is currently an Edward J. Sexton PPE Fellow at Claremont McKenna College, majoring in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics with a sequence in Leadership. He is a staff writer for the Claremont Independent and has performed psychology research with Diane Halpern, ex-president of the American Psychological Association. Outside of school, Jason is an avid world traveler, athlete, entrepreneur, filmmaker, photographer, writer, web designer, philanthropist, and magician/card flourisher, specializing in close-up performances. He has worked with companies such as KickLight, Creative Artists Agency, Victoria's Secret, USA Track and Field, and Resource Interactive. He has also worked in the Ohio Senate and served as the youngest member of the Bexley City School Board of Education.
He is currently a sprinter and pole vaulter on the Claremont Mudd Scripps Track and Field Team. His athlete bio is as follows:
"Jason is a very focused and hardworking sprinter who is enjoying the warm weather of Southern California for training. Jason's love for racing was originally found on the ski slopes. During several years of alpine ski racing, Jason placed top-3 in the nation multiple times in national competitions. In high school, he found that track provided a similar sensation to that of ski racing. After having competed in golf, football, cross country and track for his high school, Jason found that he enjoyed running sprints the most. Now running in the mid-11's in the 100 meters and sub-24 seconds for the 200 meters, Jason should be a valuable member of CMS' rather large sprint and hurdle group."
At the age of 15, Jason founded Ewizard Magic, a web-based company that featured original magic products created by Jason. The website sold online instructional videos and DVDs to magicians worldwide. Since, he has been at the forefront of the card flourishing movement. Led by young performers and artists all around the world, card flourishers push the limits of social media and interactive art forms while finding new ways to impress people with playing cards.
His most recent artistic project is a music video set to Imogen Heap's Headlock. Watch the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vmg_BXJY-w
