Aug 13 2011: I would suggest being moderate in our decisions, actions and respecting other 's rights. There is a saying in Persian language :
you were crying when born while the people around you were laughing , we must live and behave in this world so that everybody cries for us when we die.
Aug 10 2011: Dear Brian, It is not a matte of ignoring the importance of Esperanto or any other new invented languages , but it is a matter of understanding that every language ,specially when one speaks in that particular language ,unconsciously, shows his or her culture , nationality and whatever which distinguishes him or her from other nations . Different languages
have been developed naturally to show this important characteristic of human being and we cannot separate a person from his mother tongue.Esperanto may become a global language one day if many people in the world speak, write it in their country in everyday life . All the best
Aug 9 2011: Naturally it is impossible to have one common language. Different languages have deep origin in cultures which make human beings to know and distinguish one nation from another. We cannot change cultures. Of course if we are now communicating in English, it is merely because it is the scientific language of many developed countries and has been accepted by majority of people in the world. Why do we not write or talk in other languages? Even the language of Esperanto which was presented years ago has not been accepted by the whole world.
Jul 27 2011: Hello Dear Kriss,
A gentleman suggested cleaning our environment by collecting the used bottles or garbage
thrown away by people in the streets or on the roads, o.k.
Polluting the environment , water or other natural resources are apparent violation of other people’s rights. Beginning a war , destroying lands and building or killing Innocent civilians are other examples. I believe precaution is better than treatment. Our actions for making a better environment are valuable but they are curement of the diseases caused by irresponsible men.New innovations for improving human lives or standard of living and finally acceptable behaviors are required.
Jul 27 2011: First we should begin from ourselves, to make ourselves standard (SMILE) at least. The problems or the world are caused by irresponsible people who just think of themselves and do not respect the rights of others. Some people lack the standard of behaviors and being loyal to their fellow citizens. I greatly agree for allocating some money for needy people or using it for the subject aroused (improving the world), as we practically do here but helping them to grow and stand on their feet is better. On the whole, if we exercise to innate the good characteristics of a real human being in ourselves and do our best to use them for the well being of others in every possible way, then the world will change. Sometimes we do no need to do anything but at least we can try not to harm others. All the best
Jul 27 2011: I suggest using different symbols in the subject to show the following:
1-Importance of an Email “must read”
2- Just for your information
3-Do not reply
4- Reply as soon as possible
The servers E.G. Yahoo or Gmail can ask the sender to accept the Charter and be sincere when choosing the symbols. In this way we do not have to read all Emails and priority comes first. Another important rule which should come first in the charter is that the subject of Email must represent the brief idea of the Email as it is done in the headline of the newspapers. All the best.
Jul 26 2011: You are right; I agree that grades do not represent understanding of the subject taught. WE should ask our students to present what they have learned objectively. Composing and playing a piece of music is what a student of music has learnt, not his marks. Eliminating grades is good but when you have a lot of students, in different classes, you are forced to evaluate them by grading because of time shortage. We should find better feasible methods for evaluating our students. AS an example, in some places English language is taught, students get high marks, but they can’t write or speak well. This issue needs more research.
Jul 25 2011: To eradicate hunger and poverty we need to educate people by giving them the opportunity of growth in all aspects of lives. Of course technology plays an important role here but first we have to teach people how to use it. This can’t be archived unless governments, NGOS and Wealthy and educated people of every country help the poor to increase the standard of their lives. Today’s technology is very complicated, becoming more complicated in future, thus hard to be digested by poor people. .Not only we should simplify it to be understood by everyone but we should teach them its knowledge. Paying them Charity, e.g. to poor people of Africa or other places, should not devaluate their dignity if we give them the tools of improvements. Muhammad Yunus in Bangladesh is an example of this matter. No bank gave loan to poor people there because they couldn’t give the bank enough guarantees to support returning the loans to the bank but he showed them the right path. When people are starving, they are not in a position to understand the benefit of technology.
Jul 24 2011: That’s right but we should not be disappointed unless we believe that humanity has completely vanished. I am sure that any sound wisdom accepts rules and regulations of any play, considering War as a disastrous play on the benefit of superpowers, but I count on ordinary people not the governments. Sometimes ordinary people are able to cause a butterfly effect which will one day affect the world. Any system in this world has a beginning and end; where does the human being system stand? Is it really declining? Or we need some better sub-systems to cause it to grow for maturity. Humans must learn how to live together in peace not by war and if they are forced to begin the war they must respect the war regulations or be punished so that they do not dare to fight again.
Jul 23 2011: We must write the war regulations again and force the united nations organization to guarantee the implementations of the war rules as no one feel any responsibilities on the death of the innocent people who are forcefully involved in the bloody war, Children who mistake a mine with a doll and many civilians who do not want the war but can’t leave the war scene. Even animals are not safe and have no security because these are the characteristic of the war done by the ones who call themselves human beings. How have we improved our societies by inventing modern technologies?
Early men were more secured than modern men. They had no bombs, no war chemical instruments.
They battled face to face but today we do not see our enemies. Therefore Toddy’s wars must be avoided.

A comment on Conversation: Technology can improve life - even dramatically - but to believe that it is the panacea of poverty or hunger is flawed.
