An idea worth spreading

The cause of suffering is desire. The cause of ignorance is ego. Destroy desire, destroy ego, and all else will be given to you. This is the goal of Gnosis in the tradition of Samael Aun Weor.

I'm passionate about

I LOVE Ice Hockey. But, passion is a desire which is incompatible with love, so, instead of saying something I'm 'passionate about' I say I love ice hockey instead.

Talk to me about

Philosophical topics, Religion, Art, Science.

People don't know I'm good at

Svante Pääbo: DNA clues to our inner neanderthal
None of us are humans. We are intellectual animals. We live like animals and mate like them, thus we have not earned the title of human, that which is self-realized, has soul, and knows the secrets of life and death and has power over them. Authentic humans are the spiritual leaders of the world, those 'mythic' persons who transcend this wretched 3rd dimension. Now, the people of Atlantis greatly degenerated before the great flood and mated with apes which was allowed as punishment by the lords of Karma. All of us are the terrible spawns of that...this is why there is some truth to the theory that 'we came from apes' when in fact what we did was mate with them...we most certainly did not evolve from them. Evolution brings about mechanical changes in a species, it does not originate new species. How awful are we. Destroying the world...fumbling with research and theories while all we need is peace, food, shelter, family, clothing....psychological revolution.

Philip Zimbardo: The demise of guys?
Not one person, male, female, anyone, can ever know another person without first knowing themselves! "Man, Know Thyself, and thou shalt know the universe and its Gods" Hedonists are lost! Pleasure seekers! Terrible pornographers! Adulterers of the sacred Maithuna! For them is only the Abyss. It is the perverse EGO, the multiplicity of "I's" the psychological defects, the false self, and the terrible inhumane waste of the sexual force through lust that destroys all. If only they knew scientific chastity! Universal charity! True love!

Lucianne Walkowicz: Finding planets around other stars
Materialists! Don't you know that the universe is inside you? Man- The Microcosm of the Macrocosm. When the Mars Rover landed, the very advanced Martians changed its path to one of their moons only allowing it to take photos of that dead moon. This is the way the Martians protect themselves from this wretched, suicidal humanity that destroys their own home. So, the photos of Mars are precisely photos from one of the moons orbiting Mars. The Martians would not allow this perverse humanity to see their cities!

Adam Ostrow: After your final status update
No amount of data, no algorithm, no photo collection, blog summary, video, status update log, or any piece of social media can ever capture the true person. To me, a person's true value and identity is far beyond any of these pale terrestrial shadows. They are mere summaries, and, people have free-will (to a certain extent) and thus are unique such that a copy is impossible unless you are an omniscient creating god. Conclusion: Attempts to recreate people after they've died are failures. They will be memories like watching a movie about the person, which sure, would be fun.

What is time?
Time is a product of our ego. Our ego is false. Time is false. It is not linear, it is a circle, always repeating, always recurring. When we destroy the ego we experience what is not of time. www.gnosticteachings.org

What would an atheist/multi-faith church look and feel like? I suggest a TEDx gathering!
This is because atheism is not a religion and thus cannot join those that are religions. Atheism has no sound arguments and is 100% selfish. The reason you feel you are missing out on something is that Religion comes from the Latin Religare, which means 'union with God' similar to the word yoga, and since you feel no union to God, you feel less united with those around you who have better philosophies and who experience the infinite, the unknowable, on a daily basis, moment to moment. The negative vibrations of atheists are incredibly destructive and should not be mixed with those of more positive vibrations. Compassion at all times, but no best-friend material. In this terribly degenerated atheistic age, (including pre-biblical times, pre-vedic times) the practical religion of Gnosis (Greek for experiential knowledge, the root of all the major religions) serves to bring all people of all belief systems, sex, age, location, vocation, together to experience a revolution in consciousness. All major religions have the same root=Gnosis. www.gnosticteachings.org

Are there any real arguments against polygamy?
There is only one marriage that matters and it is The Perfect Matrimony, a way of life written by Samael Aun Weor. His book of the same title written in 1950 reveals the origins and goals of one man one woman marriage. It is published by Glorian Publishing. www.gnosticteachings.org and www.gnosticstore.org

Should we have the constitution as an evolving document or as a foundational document
A living document is what I prefer In no way is the constitution (american, or anywhere else) the best it can be, it has many holes and is highly contested. For one thing, I disagree with the office of the President. I think it should be replaced with another committee. No one person should have that much power, ever, anywhere. This committe should not be politicians, but leaders in education, business, health care, religion, philosophy, the arts, technicians, and more. This should be a democratic republic but it is a Corporatocracy. It is Military Industrial Complex. It is a Central Bank. A living document means that its origins are respected but are not final and is subject to change. This is what I support. In no way is it perfect the way it is now.

Why does the human condition seem to crave negative stimuli?
This is because the intellectual animal has a vice-filled psychology and it day-dreams all the time, never experiencing the truth. Selfishness, desire, lust, hatred, anger, envy, pride, gluttony, all these vices permeate the psychology and handicap the consciousness. People are so selfish and ignorant. Because this is our psychological make up, we routinely seek outside that which is inside. The craving for negative stimuli is the result of our negative psychologies. There is no doubt in my mind of this whatsoever. Gnosis teaches how to undergo a revolution in consciousness. When the vices are removed with no possibility of recurring, then the truth emerges with the best moral qualities. Much more about this is on www.gnosticteachings.org Day dreaming is so very common. Me, me, me. Getting things, money, sex, property, prestige....selfish. To stop dreaming is to spiritually awaken and remove negativity.

Is religion still relevant and necessary in the face of the many global challenges?
Religion is the cornerstone. Religion comes from the Latin Religare, or, union with God, and is almost perfectly synonymous with the word Yoga. The problem is this--->We Need Religion In Action. Everyone wonders where we came from. Why we are here. Who we are. What we're doing and why. Is there any point? Do I matter? How do I live? How to treat others? What to hope for? Is everything already planned out? Do I have free will? How do I make choices? Religion helps to answer so many of these questions and helps us form an identity. The problem, besides Religion In Action, is that the main religions of the world are seen as separate from each other. Gnosis teaches that Jesus the Christ, Krishna the Christ, Quetzalcoatl the Christ, Osiris the Christ, and many others, all come from the same root, which is Gnosis (Greek for experiential knowledge), and anyone can become Christified which is the goal of Gnosis. Gnosis explains the secrets of scripture and alchemy in order to reveal to us practical steps in order to become better people by experiencing a revolution in consciousness or awakening of the consciousness. Visit www.gnosticteachings.org to learn more. Gnosis deals with Religion, Philosophy, Science, and Art. It is a full experience but is not for the undisciplined. Yes, Religion is 100% necessary.
