  God is the foundation for almost all religions. There are very few religions that lack a god belief.
  
  As we move into the 21st century, not only is religion based on God, it is still based on the literal word of God for billions of people, which is causing tremendous problems worldwide.

• A comment on Conversation: Isn't everything meaningless without faith in anything beyond this life?

  Jul 21 2011: I'm sorry to say that any person who thinks that everything is meaningless without faith in anything beyond this life is highly deluded. People need to break out of this indoctrination of faith, religion and superstition and realize once and for all that everything is deeply meaningful without any faith or religion or god.
