About Me

23 years old. Grew up in dubai, went to college in america at Indiana University, smoked weed, realize that there were deeper dimensions to reality that just the material, while at the same time became bipolar and needed and still needing medication. Went on a couple of short retreats with spiritual teacher Andrew Cohen. Changed my life dramatically as a result. Now i am interested in bringing every thing that i can to the evolution of consciousness and culture and possibility that i discovered on those retreats to create heaven on earth.

Jul 19 2011: Jake, do you think this same kind of cultural transformation is possible today, if enough people can evolve spiritually and then come together, we could dramatically change the leading edge of culture, which would have effects all around the world.

Jul 19 2011: Joe, the only way that i see us coming together is if we create a shared global culture.

Jul 18 2011: Lindsay, i don't think that's what KW actually believes. That only the enlightened can participate in cultural transformation. His AQAL model provides a theoretical framework that can be used by anybody at any level of development.

A reply on Conversation: What if everyone believed that they could change the world?

Jul 18 2011: This is great Joe. I think we are living in a time of great transformation potentially. Evolution is becoming conscious of itself through us. And we have to get into the driver's seat, so to speak, and guide the process ourselves.

Jul 18 2011: Hi Lindsay, it is interesting that you mention Ken Wilber. Which books of his have you read. And have you been involved in the Integral community at all. I personally find Ken Wilber's AQAL model indispensable to understanding the world. But at the same time i see that the map is not the territory no matter how good that map may be. Which is why i mention in this post that we have to embody the understanding as ourselves. In other words we have to become it. Which is why i feel we need community.

A reply on Conversation: What if everyone believed that they could change the world?

Jul 16 2011: Hmm yes this is a very interesting debate. I've often wondered how me saving water or electricity is effecting the world. And to be honest i don't know if that really makes a difference. But what i do think makes a difference is like you said when we act on our highest motivations, there is a field that begins to form around us, that creates others to act in the same way we are acting. So in that sense we are actually changing the world.

  • A reply on Conversation: The evolution of consciousness and culture

Jul 16 2011: Firstly i don't think consciousness only evolves through spirituality, although when we talk about the evolution of consciousness and culture there is a big spiritual dimension to it. But what we are also talking about is our morals, ethics, psychology etc. So consciousness and culture evolve through these different mediums.

And referring to your earlier post. I do think a scientific mind is needed in order to understand these complex topics. One needs to be at at least a logical, rational stage of development or the orange meme if you want to use SPIRAL DYNAMICS, in order to begin to cognize these higher truths.
