  A comment on Conversation: Should social media be taught in school?

  Feb 23 2013: I have taught kids for some time now, and I know they love to follow trends. If Social Media becomes a tool to teach rather than a subject as you are suggesting, it will perform a lot better. Its the trends that need to be projected better. Like availability of learning tools and open class rooms need to reach children.

• A comment on Conversation: How to build our future without destroying the Earth ?

  Aug 7 2012: The first way to go forth is cleaning up the mess we already are in. If we are pumping more carbon in the system more than it can absorb, we have a serious threat. The biggest challenge of the day is alternative energy which is truly clean (unlike some of our bio-fuels like ethanol which damages more than the repair.) Also educating the masses is a concern. Most of the people take the Earth for granted.

  May 16 2012: There is no indignity to err ...there can be a TED Ed video around these. i bet we want to educate our children about how we learn from our mistakes

• A comment on Conversation: How can transition to Green Economy be made seemless and what benefits will green cities have on the global and local economy?

  Jan 26 2012: As far as I see it, transition to a Green Economy needs the Industry to be receptive towards Greener ideas, which need to be more viable from an economic perspective. The role of Industry needs to shift from being a mere demand-supply difference engine to the prime motivator towards a greener, safer tomorrow.

• A comment on Conversation: In your opinion, what should the purpose of education be?

  Dec 23 2011: Completely agree with you on the self-cultivation part. Education should barely promote the self-righteous, high headed egotism people develop through many of the current education systems around the world.
  I think the true purpose of education is developing a social-survival strategy for today's world.

  Dec 22 2011: love the word 'Peace'...means differently to different people, homo phonic with 'Piece' which suggests it can exist in parts....and it sums up what some brilliant words like smile, inspire, innovation etc. are trying to accomplish...

• A comment on Conversation: Is religion the only motivation for a person to do right? Should our morals be only based on religious belief?

  Dec 22 2011: Religion heavily borrows from real life examples to motivate an individual to do good. There are abundant references available to support the religious conjectures and their only purpose should serve to motivate men for good. As religion exists in us way before we learn to understand or appreciate it, it is more or less connected to a person's sense of morality.so for most of the people, it is difficult to acknowledge the difference between the two.

  Dec 13 2011: If I knew I could not fail, I would try replicating a place like Bali Green School back here in India...We direly need a place like that...
