About Me

Nicolas Drweski is a composer/performer in both acousmatic and instrumental field, an electronic instrument creator and a researcher in the domain of acoustics. He is developing inside Acousrama a music that reconsider the place of the human beeing in our modern society through spatialism in music, sounds and rythms. We all are living inside bubbles without consider that we are part of something bigger : nature. Currently living and working between Paris and Lima, developing his instrument : les mamelons de Vénus.
He studied electroacoustic composition in the conservatory of Paris, and composition in Montréal. In 2006 he launched Acousrama producing himself in Paris, London, Lima (le musée du Louvre, L'Elysée Biarritz...). He wrote his thesis “Techniques modernes de composition” (2009). His performances and installations have been participating many festivals and international prestigious venues in the USA, Canada, France...

An idea worth spreading

I live in a bubble ... Paris ... Many people live in this bubble. Others are living in other bubbles, similar to ours... And we all think we have important things to do ...
I say this, but many amazing things have been born there, you meet a lot of very experienced and wise people: they are really complex. Perhaps it is this complexity that makes us forget that our bubbles are part of a context that we cannot ignore, that we have no right to ignore.
Living back on ourselves, without listening to nature, its needs, we'll probably dig our own graves.
One forgets his song, his rhythm ...
The urbanization of the music has significantly limited it to very simplistic choices. The vast majority of music played worldwide is produced by a tiny minority. Tastes are becoming common, with them our sensitivity, and we forget that the world of musical culture is an immensely rich tradition. So I compose that aims to integrate nature in the process of composition and sound projection.
