Franco Sacchi is a documentary filmmaker. His most recent documentary, This is Nollywood (www.thisisnollywod.com), is a portrait of the Nigerian booming film industry. Franco co-directed, produced, and edited American Eunuchs, a feature length documentary aired in 2004 on the Sundance Channel, on Channel 5 in the UK and shown at several national and international film festivals, including the prestigious International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam (IDFA). In January 2007 Franco was the recipient of a grant from the Sundance Documentary Institute to co-direct with Kate Davis and David Heilbroner Waiting for Armageddon, a feature length documentary that looks at the growing section of evangelical Christians in the U.S. who believe the Apocalypse is imminent. (Waiting for Armageddon is currently in post production). Franco is a filmmaker in residence at the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University.
