In the Entertainment Business since 1978. Booking special events of all varieties. Managing & Teaching staff and entertainers the "art of the show" Thru the years he has learned (many times the hard way) how to get those events, and leave memories with the audience. Thru "World Mentoring Academy" he hopes to be a part of a mankinds enrichment.
For thoses who need degrees Michael has 2 engineering degrees,, and coursework towards Mdiv. and many other certifications, but his best learning & most valuable experiences has been doing ie.= street smarts.

An idea worth spreading

I'm developing a game/management system, based on a new way of motivating, mentoring, teaching, & social network (I call it a Global Village,, "it takes a village to raise a child"). With an opportunity map, & on-line educational mentoring, I hope you really consider the idea I'm proposing,, ,and become a member either through insights, a teacher/mentor in the on-line educational program in an area of your expertise.     Mar 11 2013: Prescribed grazing & no Till Farming are both methods that USDA NRCS (National Resources Conservation Services) have been promoting for healing soil. Their work on these is covered in the Free Agriculture/Animal Husbandry Dept. @ World Mentoring Academy.

    Feb 27 2013: Enjoyed talking to you today at LB TED, I have put your 2010 TED Talk & Book in World Mentoring Academy , here is some more info....
    "World Mentoring Academy" is offering FREE Open Courseware. Setup a free user account & select courses with video lectures, Syllabus, Free textbooks when avail., assignments/homework, testing from MIT, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Stanford, U of Mich, Yale along with many of the World's finest University's (1,000+ courses/24-48+ Lectures).
    College credit can be earned thru CLEP from the Collegeboard.org "The S.A.T. guy's" you can earn 3 units in 90 minutes for $80, and the avg. college cost to take the same class would be $700+ (not counting text books, gas, time etc.) Most Universities/College's will except up to 2 yr's of coursework in AP, CLEP in the BS/BA programs (a savings of $12,400). With the average College Student graduating with $29,000 of debt it makes sense to consider World Mentoring Academy.

What if we had a personal grade for Environment, Energy, citizenship.....? cause today if we are environmental and our neighbor is not.. we live with our group consequences. right? Would our World have a better chance, if we had individual grades with individual rewards ie. Fame, opportunities, money?

    Oct 8 2012: Now if we can implement World Peace in a real manner with our combined Will. I'm a educational advocate working on free wiki noncommercial, World Education in 65 Languages. Youtube now has in beta "CC" located on the edge of the player which will translate audio into captions, then you can go back and choose up to 60 languages. Try it it's totally kewl, I imagine in the future all video's will go one step further and drop the recorded language ie Chinese, Russian, English & and overdub the listeners language. In the system I'm developing all written material can be translated into other Languages along with the the video lectures with captions. So today, non English speakers can hear about the World Peace Game thru World Mentoring Academy.     Oct 8 2012: I'm actually working on the skill set that is at the center of all human behavior, with out this skill set individuals and groups ie business, government, religious, sports teams, and military campaigns fail. I'm developing a Game Management system. There are 5 parts of the system and I'm working on the first Free online Education system utilizing the opencourseware movement of MIT, UC Berkeley, Stanford and other educational materials. At present have over 1,000+ courses located @ www.worldmentoringacademycom ,, the game itself foundation page is located at www.threefootspoons.com This game initiative is a wiki type endeavor.

    A comment on Talk: Liz Coleman's call to reinvent liberal arts education

    Oct 8 2012: I'm working on a Free Online Education initiative with over 1,000+ courses utilizing MIT, UC Berkeley, Oxford, Yale, and many others. The question I have in mind is how to best develop Creative Online humanities. At present we have a film, music schools along with all the majors in the College of Arts and Letters. Would like your guidance in developing a creative solution to the World's lack of focus on the Arts. You will find the online school at World Mentoring Academy. Thanks in advance.

    Aug 19 2012: A close friend is involved with Math Counts a 6-8 grade competition held in the US. A project I'm working on includes all the materials that prepares competitors for math logic skills that are a part of the competition.     Aug 19 2012: Kim, youtube is now offering an edu channel which will begin to be an accepted way to get closed system video's (students would not see funny cat videos only edu materials) It would be upto your online administer to block all social sites from the students while in class. The Free online k- grad school system I'm working has over 1,000+ courses from MIT, NPTEL, CLRN, FSI, Stanford, Oxford and many other avail edu materials. World Mentoring Academy is a full Course Management System. Would love the TED communities critique & help.

    Aug 4 2012: Steve, I'm working on a project with no VC money, no banner advertising, no up charges of any kind. It is a Free open courseware online experience. I might be able to make 5-10% on textbook sales & donations etc. over 1,000+ courses from MIT, UC Berkeley, Stanford, Oxford, NYU, FSI, CLRN, and many of the world's finest Universities and Organizations around the world. www.worldmentoringacademy.com
