A comment on Conversation: is more than one God possible?
More than one god is possibly rational - but god is beyond the rational and irrational - and I think he is entitled to be as he created life.
There has also been the thought that the "god" that created life was a child in that the creation of life was flawed. And children can make mistakes. What about the other "god's" that created things and not things that we don't know of those that are superior to life. We are so fixated on life, which is understandable. We must be so tiny in god's universe.
God / not God / God / not God / to infinity.
A comment on Conversation: A website with a database of criminals
I know that there are great stories out there of people that have started on the rough side and developed themselves through experience and understanding. And these stories could assist as inspiration for others that see that wrong path is the only path that can continue to go on.
Society has to be more nuturing and understanding of those 17 and 18 year olds, younger and older that . And it should be more acceptable that individuals can say "hey I did do those things in the past, I'm not really proud of it, but I'm proud of who I am now"
The other problem I see is that in situations there are always two sides to a story and miscommunication could actually be at fault in a sour situation. But maybe this mechanism could be a tool to assist in that - a public mediation?
Sorry I think I've gone off topic a bit.

A comment on Conversation: What if we could chose our genetic traits? Is this moral? What would you chose and should it be offered to only the rich?

I can not agree with you, unless you speak from experience that you are not a "normal" person then you can not know what another person is thinking, and nor do I - I'm just saying that you are giving people an escape that seems easy. I think we must have different definitions of mentally ill, or nowadays it has been common practice to label someone mentally ill just to justify their actions. I'm sure 90+% of the world's population goes through depression, and I don't think that having your emotions control your actions is necessarily a bad thing. How many times have you done something for someone because you have an emotional attachment to that person.
As for people with disabilities as you say, I know that there have been cases where a child has been born with a disability, in this case down syndrome, and the parents have embraced it with so much love that they see the child as a god sent, an angel - they have learnt so much and valued so much more about life and understanding that they would never have received from a "normal" child as they would have taken it for granted. I would commend those parents that look beyond labelling people "normal" and with "disability" - these are truely special people.

A comment on Conversation: What do you think a teenager should do when he is interested in so many things that he cannot settle for any option for his future?
Do what you like - if you like yourself and who you are then you will never fail.
Living is very different to what it what was 20 years ago and 20 years before that - culture has changed and you have the ability to shape your future and the future culture.
One important thing is to appreciate the support of others (so have some good people around you, family and friends) and to support others around you in a positive manner. Oh and talk to as many people about it as possible - you never know where inspiration can come from.
All the best and wishing you have a great story to tell.

To take control of your life, take responsibility of your actions.
Sure you never have full control of your life, but you can decide whether to get out of your bed or not.
