Having grown up in the industrial mid-west during the 1960's, I was inspired to accept and expect that I could improving the human condition. As a young man I was a good student but I was not good at taking tests, so the accreditation of my higher education took a long time. Rather than waiting to be certified as an engineer, I looked for employers who would provide me with opportunities to apply my skills. Even without a degree in engineering I worked for two aerospace firms and several manufacturing companies. Eleven years ago I left the corporate sphere and started a consulting business that gives me greater contact with my customers and immediate feedback on the results of my work.

Given that my life does not fit the institutional molds that was laid before me, it has been my responsibility to discern what works for me. I expect that by joining with like minded individuals of similar life experience we development new institutions better tailored to our needs.
