  • A reply on Conversation: Is There a Future for Money?

Sep 7 2012: that's true, i don't even think "i'm human" speaks for everyone. There are people who love money, so i guess "large percentage" would be more accurate then "everyone" .

Sep 7 2012: so wait, so you think there is or isn't a future for money?
  • A comment on Conversation: Is There a Future for Money?

Sep 6 2012: If i knew how to live without money, i would do so immediately without a second thought. I believe that speaks for everyone.

Money has turned the world into a game of who can get the most, a game in which every soul's chunk of the world is taken into a postage stamp collection of the top players. Life shouldn't be about money, but while money exists it always will be.

A comment on Talk: E.O. Wilson: Advice to young scientists

Jun 26 2012: I want to hug this guy. This talk gives me hope, and a belief that maybe berrying myself in education debit is a good idea.
  • A reply on Talk: Rebecca Onie: What if our healthcare system kept us healthy?

Jun 12 2012: I see your point, but those are the students that are already there and helping right? She wants more i thought... that's why she made the rugby reference. She wants EVERY college student to look at this as something they might want to do with their time, not just medical ones it sounds like to me. Which is a tall order.

A comment on Talk: Rebecca Onie: What if our healthcare system kept us healthy?

Jun 12 2012: No comments? Not surprised. I like what she is trying to do, but being a college student... Hearing her compare volunteering for healthcare to rugby makes me lose faith in her solution. College students aren't going to use their free time to something that "recruits competitively" and "demands a lot of time" . College demands a lot of time. Volunteering provides self benefits, but nothing like sports early in the morning.

I agree that our healthcare is named in a misleading way, more properly named sick care. But using college students as slave labor is not going to bring enough people. She mentioned something about going to law school, maybe instead she should work on renaming the system to something more fitting. That would wake more people up, that aren't just college students who are in more debt then most adults.

A reply on Talk: Taylor Wilson: Yup, I built a nuclear fusion reactor

Mar 22 2012: A future where kids are role models for kids is farther away then a future where humanity is united on this one planet.
Whats more important, and i think who should get more recognition then this kid, are his parents. A lot kids these days are using their brilliant minds trying to figure out how to survive in the world our abusive parents built, worrying about paying rent at the age of 15. A genius mind such as this kid has, is not a rare thing. Parents that recognize such a mind and nurture it in the right way are much harder to find.

A reply on Talk: Jennifer Pahlka: Coding a better government

Mar 8 2012: The only way this could be controlling or "blocking" is if you are implying that a government run online community for the real world community could be censored, or you misunderstood this talk. if you are implying censorship, then id like to remind you that the internet is still free, and the moment that it is not i am leaving this country.

I have grown up as the talker says "not having any problems communicating with others" because i have lived most of my life on the internet. and if everyone in my internet community was my neighbor, i would be in heaven. i realize that's impossible, because on the internet we have a much greater degree of control over our community then in the real world. But instead of having an internet community come down to be real world neighbors, real world neighbors coming up to join an internet community is definitely a step in the right direction in my opinion. So many things are possible up there that are not possible in the real world.

I would love to join this coder program of hers, maybe i will try for it next summer when i am closer to graduating with my computer science degree.
  • A reply on Talk: Sasha Dichter: The Generosity Experiment

Sep 18 2011: Your droid isn't incredible enough! Sorry, I had to. Anyway there are a few videos like this on ted, and its because they were posed elsewhere and not from your standard TED conference. This one is even titled "Best of the Web" so...
  • A reply on Conversation: How do we reform education?

Sep 15 2011: I agree. Ive been to three colleges, and all they do is test you. The more you pay, the harder the tests are. But in every school ive gone to, the learning has always been up to me entirely. I shouldn't have to work my ass off and pay them my next 5 years salary at the same time. Next 5 years salary is an acceptable price for a brain implant... Learning anything requires working very hard, so therefore education should be a lot cheaper then it is now...
