About Me

Thom is a senior executive who’s built great teams and great products at companies ranging almost literally from A-Z; from Atari to Yahoo, with Ashton-Tate, Bigpoint, and Microsoft thrown in for good measure. His most current adventure is launching a new crowdfunded and crowdsourced approach to incentivized innovation, from within the XPRIZE Foundation. Thom started his career as an analyst/engineer at the National Security Agency straight out of high-school. The pre-Web environment was perfectly suited to rabid curiosity verging on obsession, and prepared him on his newfound life-long quest to find the outer edge of the Internet. Among his five startups across his career, he's been fortunate to have had two positive exits, along with three *really* good lessons. Thom also serves as a Mentor for Adeo Rossi's Founder Institute.
