About Me

Growing up in Edinburgh, he was always surrounded by the Arts and was absorbed by the Festival Fringe from an early age.

Between School and University he worked for an Edinburgh residential lettings agency, completed a Ski Instructors course in Canada and spent time in the Philippines.

In Leeds at University he developed a keen interest in the Music Industry, while continuing to return to Edinburgh in the summers to work at the Fringe.

Studying Politics gave him angles to approach work in a research based format. Then after a work placement at the Scottish Parliament, he wrote a dissertation on Scotland and its relationship with the European Union.

In his final few months at University he started his own company 'Comgreat'. This alongside working for Defected Records in London, further surrounded him with creative and talented people.

Over the past few years he has become increasing involved with the event producers behind TED Conferences - so far working on TEDGlobal 2011, TEDGlobal 2012 and TED 2013.

My TED Story

Jamie was introduced to TED by his close friend. He has since used the talks as a studying utility at University and further worked on-site at TEDGlobal in 2011 and 2012. Now Jamie works for TED in the Vancouver office on the forthcoming Long Beach and Global Conferences.
