A comment on Talk: Joshua Prince-Ramus on Seattle's library

May 4 2011: I am surprised at all the negative feedbacks that this presentation has attracted?
What are the sources of these retaliations? Is the problem generational?
  • A reply on Talk: Joshua Prince-Ramus on Seattle's library

May 4 2011: How did you feel in that building? I need to check out this library!
  • A reply on Talk: Eli Pariser: Beware online "filter bubbles"

May 3 2011: I disagree with your first statement, what is the complaint? and yes a lot of things change very rapidly in this world but a lot remains the same! I see a systems level problem that was addressed by Eli Pariser. Which was heard by the software architechs right in that room who with in a day an hour a week can fix that problem and affect us all today. So todays complaints are not irrelevant to anyone they are just complaints being voiced.
  • A reply on Talk: Eli Pariser: Beware online "filter bubbles"

May 3 2011: Another point was, that facebook edited out views that were part of Eli Pariser wall post based on a simple a!>b equation. Currently the code is in an early stage, and can grow to meet the needs that we require of it. I agree with you though I'm not worried about the filter bubble just yet for we are not feeling any atrophying effects right now. I'm glad that he was directly addressing the software architechs in the room that could expediate the whole process of breaking down the filter bubble.

A comment on Conversation: Can we sustain the population AND the ecosystem without converting to vegetarianism?

Apr 27 2011: Objectively speaking for the dietary demands of a city, who needs to eat what to sustain themselves and thrive, Should be the question. If we think about it ~7 Billion people is a lot of people and Cows fish and chicken for everyone would cause mayhem..

Do diets need to be specialized to the stage of the city, to the particular types of needs of its people? A more vegetarian diet to those with more resources, and a more meat heavy abundance to developing cities?

As an acute observance developing areas seriously thrive off of a meat diet.

I don't believe that we should be strict vegetarians, we do need the complex food package animals provide with unique pyto-chemicals and resources.

A comment on Talk: Bruce Schneier: The security mirage

Apr 27 2011: Great application to Global warming, we have such a small relationship to even the smallest 80 year cycles of global patterns. We need to feel the reality of what damage we are causing to the Earth. We feel secure, on our green earth, but are we? We cannot promote mass hysteria or threatening advertisements of a dying Earth, but a more objective view and plan to deal with our symbiotic life with Earth.
  • A reply on Conversation: The Global Village Construction Set (GVCS) is a low-cost, high-performance, open source 'civilization starter kit.'

Apr 25 2011: This collaboration sounds like an amazing idea!
Young students can greatly benefit from becoming aware of the infrastructure for living.
In particular, the systems (a village or town) demand for energy and food, and modeling those needs would be a wonderful and insightful lesson to young minds.
I currently use Khan Academy, and explore its instruction method. I promote its use to many young minds in south Texas.
As for your enlightening project, I have not begun tinkering with its designs, but plan to once i return home and have access to a garage and machine shop. Will respond with picture. Thank you for your efforts in promoting a better world.
