More About Me

I'm passionate about

Through my education I have developed an interest for public speaking, and using public speaking to bring science and important issues to a wider audience.

An idea worth spreading

An idea worth spreading is our local association that takes care of abandoned dogs in our town and suburbs. The association is called "Victories", or "Pobjede" in my native language.
It's a non profit, fueled by dedicated volunteers. The people in this project have made the impossible come true. The dog shelter in Nemetin near Osijek became a registered shelter that does not put down it's inhabitants.
Through diligent work and dedication, they manage to provide food and shelter for 200 dogs at a time, Since this subject is not one of interest in my country, you can imagine the amount of effort that is needed to raise the required funds to function within the legal boundaries and provide all it needs for the dogs in terms of food, shelter, medical supplies, medical procedures etc.
They also have an adoption program, where you can take your new pet from the shelter. And believe me, the dogs from the shelter show their appreciation if you take them in.

My TED Story

I found out about TED by accident. A video was shown to me, I really can't remember the subject, all I can remember is that I loved this format of timed talks where the speaker keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. Then I saw a video of Mick Ebeling: The invention that unlocked a locked-in artist, and was in love with the project and the concept of regular people stepping up and making a difference. After that I got involved in the open translation project so I can contribute to spreading these great talks in my country.
