More About Me

I'm passionate about

Rebirth and Renewal. New Beginnings and New Challenges.

An idea worth spreading

What if every word that came from your mouth and every thought that you envision were the buildings blocks of the world that you get to live in. Would you speak differently? Would you think differently? What if I told you that your world and mine does begin with each syllable we utter and each thought that we act on. Would you chose your words carefully before you spoke as though your world cry s out for your inspired speech? Because it does. Would your thoughts be of encouragement and hope because your world needs both to rise from the depths of despair and depravity. Would you think that is was an idea worth spreading to believe that the kind of world we inherit is ultimately shaped by our individual contributions to it.

  • A comment on Conversation: Is science just imagination in a straitjacket?

Feb 11 2013: I think the statement suggests that science is constricted by the laws that govern it, the laws of physics, etc.

So while it is our imaginations that allows us to pursue the stuff of StartTrek or ask questions of our beginnings, it is the straight jacketed nature of science, the hard limits of the known rules that govern our universe which eventually satiates or douse that imagination.

Imagine jumping out of a plane and flying, soaring through the skies like superman. Gravity will eventually have something to say about that dream. Or science may use the rules that restricts your dream to develop some technology to allow the fruition of that dream. In a way working within these constrictions (known rules) has been and is the key to that straight jacket and the freeing our imaginations.

After all, man always thought that he could fly, but it was science that allowed him to.
I believe it is our imaginations that are straight jacketed, limited, and science is the gateway to our dreams.
  • A reply on Conversation: What is Your BIG IDEA in just 6 WORDS?

Jul 18 2012: One's comitment to positive change succeeds because one wins the battles raged on the inside and less from any resistance on the outside.
The results are a better you and a positively impacted community.
  • A reply on Conversation: What is the source of intuition?

Jul 17 2012: No I am not saying that at all Humberto, not an analysis of everyday events but a subconscious recall, a hint, a sense that something is about to happen, but unable to articulate why or what makes one suspect or foretells said future event. Being unable to explain the reason does not imply that there is no reasoning, just not on a consious level. (Hope that makes sense)

Some people explore their environments with all of their senses, therefore they may feel or experience much more (subtle) changes in their environment. Moments before others can hear the phone ring, they may predict it's ringing but not be able to tell why they knew.

We may ascribe intuition to that person only because they cannot explain their prediction reasonable.

So I do not think that intiuition is some supernatural gift, it is but heightened sensory capacity that we are all capable of experiencing. I don't think that anyone have ever been intuitive of an event that has not been experienced before. Anyone who can demonstrate prior knowledge of a yet to be experienced event would demonstrate something supernatural indeed.

Some folks just make educated guesses about future events based solely on their study and analysis of them.

A reply on Conversation: What does the simple good mean to you?

Jul 17 2012: An incredible example of, what the simple good may mean. A question asked, a thoughtful response engages conversation that uplifts and teaches. Lessons learned, a lot to gain that'll contribute much to the simple good.
    I do remember ............now

I know what you speak of Colleen, your genuine transparancy is plain to see :)
Yours is an open book my friend, it's why I admire you.

A comment on Conversation: What does the simple good mean to you?

Jul 15 2012: Doing the simple good is simply doing the good that we can do.
It doesn't have to be grand or global in scale, but simple gestures of goodwill to those that we come in contact with on a daily basis goes a long way in solidifying the fabric that is humanty, our interconnectiveness restored by small random, perhaps unnoticed but important acts.

A comment on Conversation: What is the source of intuition?

Jul 14 2012: Experience is the source of Intuition, I think.
The base of one's experience determines the width of one's intuition. An individual open to a variety of life's offerings and attentive to each experience in minute details (smell, sound, taste, etc), will invariable be more intuitive, wont they?
A deaf person may not be intune to audiable references but may be highly intuitive to non-verbal cues, body language, etc.
Then there are those among us with experiences outisde of our sensory realm, who may tell us much about the unseen, which we may chose to dimiss outrightly or asscribe to their intuition or sixth sense, but their past experiences have informed their intuition.
A new mothers special bond with their baby may appear intuitive, but it is based on prior non-verbal communications long befeore the baby is born.
  • A reply on Conversation: How do you view seduction as a form of persuasion? How do you feel when you perceive that someone is trying to seduce you? (Remember that

Jul 14 2012: Evidence persuads, facts persuade, science persuades.
A beutiful flower seduces, fresh baked bread seduces and have led many off of a much needed diet.
