  Dec 19 2011: One example that was implemented long back in rural India. The government funded the milk revolution giving many house wives from India opportunity to sell the cow milk in big factories. The factories produced milk product and marketed to the urban as well as rural crowd. Benefits? Today many woman are self employed with this schemed and fairly above the poverty line. Their kids go to proper school, so the future is also secured.

  Dec 19 2011: Yes, well I would first like to separate out the definition of poor not based on the income they generate but the capacity of income they can generate.
  
  Income= opportunity+ intellect
  
  Defining poor should based on two parts, does he have the intellect but no opportunity? Does he have the opportunity but no intellect? In this regard the former category of people can also form the 3$ as well as 6$ bracket. While the later category will always fall between 3$.
  
  The former need an opportunity, which can be made available with the government. The later needs support from NGO's, adult education schools and vocational subjects that can improve the intellect to gain the morsel.

  Dec 19 2011: Poverty Eradication should not focus on money but focus on attitude of the poor. We should also separate the types of poor, those who are poor now, will be poor in the future.... for the right attitude is absent.

  Nov 18 2011: I always debate about Journalist, they cannot be subjective as for the profession of journalism is not a social service but a paid service to relay news. If they dwelve in emotions and empathy in the news they will never be able to get back to work the next day nor be able to scoop news out of it. No, in 'News' you cannot create empathy but have to remain objective, while in story telling you can use Blogs, Twitter, social media tools to broadcast terms.

  Nov 18 2011: Kill the sound bite also sounds great.... there should also be a modern touch to the ancient stories, something like restoring an ancient artifact, we restore the ancient legends in modern context and broadcast it over the internet to the world.

  We have come a long way from telling stories around campfire to news bites. People are loosing the personal touch behind the story. A news remains objective, while in fact it should be personal. People consider other geographies as objects, like They do this, They do that, general stereotyping, which loses empathy towards each other.

  Nov 18 2011: I believe we can premiere it when we join hands together, on my blog I tried to string ancient mythology to modern Science fiction to create a vivid concept of a fantasy story. The elements are the same they behave in modern context
