  • A reply on Talk: Marco Tempest: The electric rise and fall of Nikola Tesla

    Jul 4 2012: Hi Chet
I agree Tesla is to be greatly admired
Not only for his genius but also for his self-less nature
I don't think he realized how self-less he was
He definitely could solve our energy problems and more
I don't believe dying penniless would bother him
    Nor dying in disrepute
I believe not seeing the changes he envisioned for all to eventuate - would have greatly disturbed him
Coming to the realization that human nature in most, is one of 'insular self absorbtion, small thinking, greed and generally less compassionate would have been quite unbearable for such a great man
He must have felt at times incredibly isolated and quite stupefied by the lack of what to him would seem natural/commonsense/intelligence

A reply on Talk: Jeremy Jackson: How we wrecked the ocean

    Mar 4 2012: Hi Alexander
The question you ask 'why is this information taking so long to make it's way to the broader community which exists beyond scientists, intellectuals and capitalists of this world
Is one I think about every single day for the last ?? Years
Firstly the powers that be do not want change
The dirty coal monsters do not want to acknowledge the situation
They recruit and pay off both scientists/ journalists to defuse/play down or more importantly confuse the reality of the situation to the masses
Shortsighted fools they are chasing for the quick buck
The average person has family? Work ??life activity going on and are mostly caught up in time poor situations
They do not have the time to fully investigate and understand the complexities of the damage going on
Even if they did they do not understand how to change or what they can do thus yess they do go into a type of denial
I was in quite a dynamic climate action group which is now globally known
However on saying that I am now doing 'climate art" as a way of climate awareness/education to people that may just have a second spare on the bus on the way to work
People must get curious must get educated and we must all change
    We must lead the 'change"
And of course no I do not consume 'seafood " why would l ' I am completely 'healthy without it
Let the fish swim in the sea I say

Mar 4 2012: Of course the poorer? World needs/wants to develop
We do need to help them
    They can have growth
    We can all have growth
Changes in new clean energy brings growth and opportunities
Our growth needs to be sustainable and intelligent
    Education is key
We need to value our planet
    Understand ourselves and our planet
Our common culture/behavior needs to be rewired
The more of us that know this
The more common it will be

    As a climate campaigner
I fully understand your concerns both climate and population
Yess our 'unthinking emissioning culture and lifestyles can not continue
It will be detrimental to humans and the 30 million species that live on earth if we
continue on without change 'we all must change "
I truly believe it's all about education
    We 'need mass awareness
Advertising people campaign loud for change Singers sing loud for change /artists art for change we all must change we can we must we will

A reply on Talk: Paul Gilding: The Earth is full

    Mar 3 2012: Hi georg
    If Ted can do anything
With such a brilliant global network
Yesssss we can all go about best we can to change
We can all be part of the solution 'the change virus that our planet needs
    I say let's do it
    We must do it
Our media should cover which country is lowering emissions
    Which country has cleanest air
Which country has the most renewable energy
Which company has lowered or has zero emissions
    The race should be on
As individuals we should all understand climate change
    That is the main objective
As then we will all want change
