An idea worth spreading
I have an idea that I would like to put into action. - It involves shipping excess silage (hay) donated by farmers on the eastern seaboard of Australia to inland farms where many are beginning to suffer the effects of a prolonged drought. A scheme along these lines was instituted recently to meet the devastating effects of fires and floods, and it proved very beneficial to the farmers who needed help to recover from those disasters. Unfortunately, there is no formal structure in place (as yet), for farmers who are drought affected, but I believe that with a little persuasion applied to Government, and calling on community support, we could put something in place that will be of enormous benefit to our farmers. And to the whole country.
