A comment on Talk: Peter van Uhm: Why I chose a gun
The problem with the whole North-Atlantic culture is that they are the ones who decide who the bad guys are, and of course they are the good guys. They're busy exporting democracy, their democracy!, to countries like Afghanistan. Aren't there any problems in the Netherlands? In the US? In the UK? Or is about the power over natural resources?
Liberal bullshit. You are fine with us, until you do not intervene into our dirty businesses. I can accept you as long as you say what I say. The moment your opinion differs from mine, you're discriminative, fascist, communist, an opponent of development bla bla bla.
It's like Orwell's 1984. Peace equals war. Love equals hate. Guns? Equal peace and prosperity and stability. It starts like this. See? He said it!
His son has died during mission. He was in his twenties, about my age. Was it worth, Mr Idontlikegunsbuttheyareneeded?
