  • A comment on Conversation: What video will you flip first on the new TED-Ed website?

Apr 25 2012: I guess something you dare to experiment with. something you or some one you know have made on youtube.
  • A comment on Conversation: Are children ready to make decisions like adults?

Apr 7 2012: Kids are better in making decisions and solving problems than adults are. Children are strait forward, no nonsense. If you don't feed them, change diaper or simply give attention, they'll let you know it. the basic needs are to be provided for. it is that simple. At pretty much same age they are trying to solve very first puzzles and build towers. and kids are absolutely doing it their own creative way.

all of this happens with trial and error. as trying to walk. the persistence to success at something despite the physical pain is amazing. as any adult would repeatedly fail at his job / task and would be (painfully) punished for a week we would probably quit.

It is all connected to "short-cuts" as Dr. R. Cialdini describes. Adults develop shortcuts (trusting a person in uniform, or a white lab-coat) as a way of coping with amount of information we are fed on daily basis. these short-cuts make more than the half of our decisions and are often useful. Also often misused by sales-people. Kids do not have these short-cuts and they are more or less making them fresh and they do think about it. "good" kids throw a look at parent and do as instructed, while "naughty" child might do the opposite just to see what happens next.
  • A comment on Conversation: Do introverts make better leaders?

Apr 7 2012: I believe that a true leader should not be either or actually should be both at the same time. there are character virtues of a leader in introvert (calm, steady, no sudden moves) and extrovert (candid, daring, progressive) personality.True leader finds the balance (that works for him) and use it as situation demands.

Yet in the world of democracy, lobbying; when a leader is to be chosen (even by shareholders) the charms and wits of a extrovert person, will prevail more often. The social appeal of a presidential candidate is just as important as hem / her being calm. this is very evident during political campaigning.
  • A comment on Conversation: Artificial Intelligence will supersede Human intelligence

Mar 29 2011: Artificial Intelligence would supersede than Human only if it could think up solutions that humans could not think of. This is possible if AI can make up the relations by itself. Otherwise it is still limited by options and logic of its maker and our human “connecting-dots”.

Making emotional or rational decisions is one big difference. In the movie I Robot Will Smith is saved only based on calculation of chance for Survival. Regardless of the question if AI will supersede the Human Intelligence, AI should never be allowed to act.
  • A reply on Talk: Hans Rosling: The magic washing machine

Mar 22 2011: don't forget the use of soap and by that the water pollution.
  • A comment on Conversation: Where do you find the inspiration and energy to start and build your own venture?

Mar 13 2011: In my case there are two major factors. One is when you see the need you think you can facilitate and second one is the urge (borne from dissatisfaction of status quo) to do things in a better way. There are of course also a number of “external” factors such as a opportunity, independence, risk and so on that are very important for course of decisions.
  • A comment on Conversation: Where are we all moving with Social Networking / Online Communities?

Mar 12 2011: the "social" offers the opportunity of engagement without obligations. (there is no social obligation to reply or visit or even greet for that matter. on the other hand it much easier to find "friends" and keep in touch no matter where they are.
I think that at certain moment a saturation will occur and more "niche" online societies will gain in activities. the social will become (if it is not already) a part of our normal day. the social is already most important marketing channel. It is here to stay, but probably in another role than it is today.
