    May 10 2013: Thanks for this exciting presentation. The idea of "grit" applies to us as adults, too. Researchers on gifted education and talent development assert that personality factors and motivation are the most important elements of creative achievement and distinguish creative producers from others.

    A comment on Conversation: If 'gifted' is a bad word, what term can we use to describe the highly intelligent and creative members of our societies?

    Mar 9 2011: In his book “Enjoying the Gift of Being Uncommon,” Willem Kuipers uses the term eXtra intelligent (Xi) - which, as Linda Silverman notes in her Foreword, can also stand for eXtra intense. See more in my post The Gift of Being Uncommon
