A comment on Conversation: Nuclear energy is unsafe

Mar 16 2011: I would definitely agree with Krisztián, if anything this earthquake is a testament to the engineers who have developed the technology to make them the safest they have ever been. When we can go from the Three Mile Island disaster, which had to do with malfunctioning equipment and human error, to the only reason nuclear reactors are even close to being a danger is when they are hit with an earthquake and a tsunami is pretty incredible.

A comment on Conversation: If the Latin phrase "scientia potentia est" aka "knowledge is power" were to hold true - what is compassion if not weakness?

Feb 26 2011: I find that it is my compassion for life and for other humans that drives my hunger for knowledge. We may have times where the compassion causes us pain and disappointment, but it is those times that drives us for further knowledge.

A comment on Conversation: A self-chosen class system of citizenship to encourage participation

Feb 20 2011: I personally think this would be a great idea; a way to encourage people to participate in their government, as well as an new check to governmental powers. Though I do not know how well it would go when being proposed, people tend to not like hear what they have to do, even if they do not technically have to do it.
