By virtue of my background in Computer Science and Engineering, I possess strong analytical skills and am an adept programmer.
I have been able to hone my ability to think creatively through extensive involvement in technical research projects wherein I, in papers that have been published, have proposed novel solutions to complex computational problems. For instance, at the Center for Computational Learning Systems at Columbia University, I worked on the 'Multi-word Expression Problem' – a key problem for many Natural Language Processing (NLP) related applications.
I have worked in the fields of NLP and Machine Learning for approximately 3 years. In the past, I have worked on Machine Translation Evaluation and Language Modeling. I published my work on improving the BLEU metric for measuring machine translation quality

http://www.iinspireus.com: an online platform for "idea" sharing and collaboration. The site enables its users to do two things -- first, to share their ideas with the community and receive validation and/or feedback and second, to find collaborators to help turn their ideas into reality. One of the core goals of i inspire us is to make ideas "open" and free from the constraints of intellectual property laws so that they may be shared easily. In order to enable this, we've formulated the 'Open Ideas Initiative' (adapted from the Open Source Initiative).
