A comment on Conversation: What one feature would you love to see added to TED.com?

Dec 12 2012: I would find it usuful if everytime I did find a comment or even a full conversation helpful or interesting that this could be saved somewhere in my profile for me to be able to refer to it at other times. In addition, sometimes I find an interesting debate or talk but have no time at that particular moment to read through it or watch it, unless they are being featured at the main pages, it's very difficult to find these later so it would be very helpful if there was a watch later list or read later list available.
  • A reply on Conversation: What experiences have made you more comfortable with mental health disorders?

    Nov 9 2012: HI Colleen,
    I'm very well, thank you.
I simply have issues with the connotations involved in the word disabled and some of the meanings the dictionary offers, that's all. I personally think labels do a lot of damage. On the other hand, I believe the general sense of "fear" in relation to this topic, comes from uncertainty. If we were informed about the different conditions people may experience, the fear would be less and therefore people would have the chance to interact with one another more comfortably.

A reply on Conversation: What experiences have made you more comfortable with mental health disorders?

    Nov 6 2012: Hi Colleen,
Long time no see. I hope you're keeping well.
Being very familiar with Down's Syndrome it makes me really uncomfortable, not to say angry at the least, when I see it related to words such as mentally disabled or mental disorder. I strongly believe there is a huge difference between people suffering from mental health issues and people with down's syndrome. Let's encourage people to stop using such labels and yes, let's all allow ourselves to appreciate the authentic enthusiam and love they so generously always share.

    Aug 11 2012: Hi Ken,
Thank you. For some reason TED isn't letting me know about any replies to my comments and I had totally missed this.

He is amazing, thank you for introducing me to him.

A comment on Conversation: Will whites ever see blacks as superior or any aspect of blacks being superior to them

Aug 11 2012: Unfortunately there will always be prejudice, whether it's towards the colour of someone's skin, their gender, nationality, academic background or even the colour of their hair. The list is long and ludicrous.

You can't control how others feel about you but you can decide how to feel about yourself at all times.

A reply on Conversation: Sharing exceptional voices

    Aug 10 2012: Indeed.
Music is a great passion of mine so I could be here all day sharing!
My nephew is doing very well, thank you. And yes. I'm committed to create a safe and loving environment for him. Fortunately, he is still too young to be aware of any prejudice. I cannot comprehend such lack of humanity and despicable ways and I'm truly sorry to hear that, on top of having to struggle with your health you had to deal with such unreasonable people. I admire your resilience.
Here's another singer that, although according to some, he may not have great singing skills, he is so real and authentic that I can't help but fall in love with his performance. Very rarely amazing talent is accompanied by extraordinary passion and this guy is so full of passion it's contagious, he's singing ability becomes secondary to me. You may want to skip the first minute or so at the beginning and end...x factor video...

    So true, we do.
Here's another great voice singing truthful lyrics, she's a little different but I like her.

If you like her check her acoustic version of "Nobody's perfect", it's pretty awesome.
