More About Me

I'm passionate about

Life, Peace, Helping Each Other, Loving One Another, Ending All Wars, Global Truce, HumanityBreaking Free Of Addictions, Ending:Poverty, Disease and Homelessness. Ethical Treatment of Animals & Humans

An idea worth spreading

Together we can save the world! Lets join hands and take the needed steps to move humanity in the right direction. We have come too far to lose it all now. I am encouraging all people to ask themselves: "If I were in charge of inspiring the world to achieve a lasting global truce, to sign a declaration of world peace, to commit to a cease fire and to help prevent a mass extinction of life on Earth what would I do?" Then I suggest that each person please begin writing down your answers and form plans to fulfill that task. After making this plan please begin to take steps needed to get your plan implemented! We may create peace in our lifetime if we set our minds to accomplishing that goal. War is not beyond our ability to prevent. War is a series of crimes that are allowed to happen but we need to establish other methods of resolving conflict. We need to promote peaceful resolution to conflict. I suggest all countries meet in the UN, sign a global truce pact & a peace manual!

Talk to me about

Ways we can end all wars and acts of aggression between man, house the homeless, feed the hungry, heal the sick, help the environment, raise the world's orphans, share, conserve, save, help & love.

People don't know that I'm good at

I am good at praying for the universe and all life on this Earth. I am good at advocating for humanity to take measures needed to establish world peace and sustainability. I am Earth's Social Worker

My TED Story

In my quest to motivate people to begin to take action to inspire humanity go peaceful and green I often asked people thought provoking questions. I approached people individually a friendly manner on the subway or bus, passing by on the street, online at lunch hour etc. Many people engage in a lengthy conversation with me as a result. One person suggested that I check out the website www.TED.com. He said it was great and I will find many talks about these subjects there. I went home that day and checked out the TED Talks and have been hooked ever since. I have watched most of the TED MEDs and hundreds of the TEDs. I plan to watch all 1000 but that may take a while. The talks inspired me so much and I am grateful to have seen them. TED has changed me and I have changed TED by many of my comments and recommendations that I sent which were implemented. have applied for a license to organize a TEDxLive 2/29/12 and TEDx to inspire peace. If granted it will be in NYC 9/21/12!

  • A reply on Conversation: How can humanity actually achieve the UN Millenium Goals? How can we each play a bigger part to help ensure that we do meet the goals?

    Feb 18 2013: Dear Bob,
Yes I agree we will need to rethink our methods and strategies to find a solution that will work this time since so many efforts have failed in the past. We have to reach the people directly not give the money to corrupt politicians who will keep it all for themselves and not distribute it to the people in need. That is the hard part to find the solution to the problem. There are many answers hidden in many of the TED Talks that if they were widely applied would certainly make a significant dent in the problem. We have the technology but we need a way to implement the solution on a wide scale. So the question is how can we actually achieve the goals, not how can we fail to achieve the goals. I realize this is a much harder problem requiring much more thought and collaboration. How can we all actually help is the question for us to think about. Thanks for your reply.
  • A comment on Conversation: How TED can spread great ideas even faster and even further?

Feb 18 2013: Wow I found many answers to similar questions previously asked.

So I will add to my question: How can we all help TED Spread Ideas worth Spreading Even Faster? How do we implement the great ideas we hear about on TED even more effectively?

A comment on Conversation: "Why Can't We Solve Big Problems?"

Feb 18 2013: Lets rephrase the question to ask the much more empowering question how HOW CAN WE SOLVE BIG PROBLEMS? Then we may come up with the big solutions needed to do so.

    9) All TEDX Events can be made available to be viewed online after the event.

    10) TEDXCafes can be opened in various cities where people can have an open mike to to give a TEDx Talk if they agree to follow the TED guidelines.

    11) TED can organize TEDUN: GLOBALWORLDLEADERS where world leaders of nations cam be invited to speak on how they plan to lead in positive directions to reduce war, reduce conflict and increase sustainability in their nation.

    12) Make it easier for TEDX organizers from around the world to borrow TED in A Box equipment to organize their TEDX. They can offer a valid credit card with authorization to charge for the TED in A Box if the Box was not returned within a short time after their event is finished. Sell TEDx in A Box equipment at affordable prices for people to be able to keep their box for future events.

    13) Allow people to plan to organize more than one event at a time.

    14) Allow people to be approved to organize events for 1 year or in cities, states or countries other than the one they live in.

    15) Allow more TED Fellows to come and greatly reduce the fee to attend a TED Conference but allow many more participants to make up the revenue loss.

    16) Sell many TED Logo products in stores so people can become aware that TED even exists. So many people never even heard of TED yet.

    17) It would be a great idea where people can a give virtual TED talk from their home to reduce the carbon footprint of speakers having to fly from around the world to give a talk.

    18) TEDFocus can be organized monthly where specific topics and subjects can be covered rather than general themes ie: Sustainability, Promoting Global Peace, Food, Compassion, Energy, Parenting, Technology, The Global Mind, Earth, Inc. Animal Rights, Farming for the Future.

    19) Tedx events can have more than just 100 people in the audience, at least up to 350 people.

    20) Organizers of Tedx events should be able to give at least one tedx talk of their own and be allowed to make a reasonable profit to organize the event.

    21) People could order individualized TED or TEDx Talk tapes or written trascripts

    22) The TED conferences can be extended longer enabling a doubling of ted talks

    23) TEDVirtual 365/24/7 Ted can organize new virtual talks 365 days per year, 7 days per week 24 hours per day.

    24) TED International one annual event can be held in a different nation each year.

    25) Ted AudienceSpeaksOut TED Conference Audience members may have lots to say. They should be given the opportunity to video their 18 minute TED Talk though a TED video booth in the lobby of TED Conferences where they can apply to have their own talk filmed and uploaded on the internet if they follow the format of TED Talks.

    26) TED does not encourage self promotion. Many people have great ideas but often do not mention the name of their company or how to get their product in their talk. Speakers should be able to inform the listeners how to get their products.

    27) TED Live Conversations, TED Debates, TEDThinkTank, TedQuestion and Answers, TED Roundtable

    28) Allow TEDCommunity members to register to connect with each other in virtual conferences to discuss specific topics at the same time over the internet and allow other people to listen in.

    29) Allow TEDMEDx to be organized as well.
  • A comment on Conversation: Should TED drop the price of attending their events?

Dec 30 2012: Yes I think TED should drop the price of their events significantly and allow many more of the regular average people to sit in the audience. They do have some free fellowship opportunities but not enough. They can use a much larger room that will hold more people to make their over all profit even higher if that is important to them. They can allow people to view the conference online exactly as it is being filmed for a small price so they can make the money back from the reduced ticket price. They can allow the talks to be played in movie theaters around the world or on cable the same day as they are being filmed and for the price of a film admission they can watch at least one segment of the talks equal in time to a typical movie. If they want to see more they can purchase a second movie ticket and say another 2 hours. I would like to pay to see each day of the conference from my home, not just some of the talks that are posted but I can not afford the 1000.00 fee. They will help their ideas to spread much quicker if they allow more people to have access to all of the talks from past and future events. It would be nice to allow the TED audience to be able to film their own speeches as well from their home without having to go to a TED or TEDx event to be filmed. A TEDxHomeAudienceSpeaksOut may be a good idea where people can apply for a licence to film a 18 minute talk from hom displaying a TEDxHomeAudienceSpeaksOut and upload it to ted to review and post if appropriate. I hope they reduce the price and consider making more events around the world. There is a lot they can do to help spread these ideas even quicker for cheaper and to be more effective and more profitable to them in the end.

A comment on Conversation: What one feature would you love to see added to TED.com?

Dec 6 2012: I suggest TED consider organizing monthly theme conferences in a one day events on specific topics ie ending hunger, ending war, ending disease, going green globally, reducing violence, improving education, meeting the Millenium goals. The speakers may come from multidisciplinary fields but all focus on solving one particular type of problem that we all face. I suggest TED allow TEDx organizers to focus on a specific topic as well rather than just broad themes. Ted should consider organizing a TED in each nation. TEDX organizers should be allowed to give at least one tedx talk of their own in their own event, Ted X organizers should be allowed to make at least a reasonable profit for their effort at organizing the event as it will take their time to put it together. More people should be allowed to participate in a tedx as only 100 are allowed now if the organizer did not attend a ted. Speakers should be allowed to mention their specific projects and a link to them could be made so listeners can get more information. TED may want to allow TED Audiences to have an opportunity to each give a TED Talk of their own by arranging for many video booths where the audience members during breaks or before or after the conferences can go and upload their own talk and if it is good it can be aired on a TEDXAudienceSpeaksOut as well. I am sure the TED Audience has alot of great ideas to say. Ted should allow people to order a cassett of TED Talks whereby they can select as many Talks as they like and then the video or audio cassette can be mailed to them. Release talks on Audible.com
  • A comment on Conversation: What one feature would you love to see added to TED.com?

Dec 6 2012: TED should allow people to upload a talk on a topic from their own home either with a tedxhometalk sign that can be gotten if a license to film their own talk is granted. I would appreciate if Ted would allow viewers to preselect more than 1 talk at a time to be placed on a list so when 1 finishes automatically the next one starts rather than having to wait for a talk to complete before the next talk is selected. I suggest Ted Organize a TED GLOBAL Peace Conference every year on 9/21 on the International Day of Peace and invite world leaders and people from all disciplines to come together from all around the world to plan how humanity can build consensus for world peace. I would like to speak at a TED Conference building upon Jeremy Gilleys Ted Talk Called One Day Of Peace. I would like to speak at a TED Conference inviting all world leaders and all non state combatant leaders to come together and sign a National and International Treaty for a global Truce and a global cease fire. At A TED Conference I would like to invite all world leaders and non state combatant force commanders to simultaneously command their forces to cease fire for one year in an annually renewable cease fire. TED can be instrumental at spreading a message of how to attain and strengthen the peace by reaching out to people in the peace building field and inviting them to speak at TED and TED Global events. TED MED can also invite people to speak on how mental illness contributes to war and conflict in society and how we can treat this better. I request TED Post all the previous TED conferences on the WEB so we can see them just as they were not just a few talks from each year. TED should reach out to be aired on more national TV, Radio and Movies to attain a larger audience. If The TED, TED Global and TED MED are televised live on a major network or even just a few talks if they do not have such a large block of time to devote only to TED it will still help spread the word faster.
  • A reply on Conversation: If you can give a TED talk what would you discuss? You may chose to reply about any topic.

Apr 7 2012: Thanks. I hope I succeed too. Please consider helping me succeed.by doing what you can to help spread the message and to take nonviolent actions to help peace to prevail on Earth!
