A comment on Talk: Graham Hill: Less stuff, more happiness
Just everybody needs space, because such is our nature. More space = more comfort. So, is there any particular reason to move to smaller apartaments? Lower CO2 emission does not convince me.
A comment on Talk: Emiliano Salinas: A civil response to violence
1) Many of us, focus too much on person of Emiliano Salinas, not on his words, and ideas
2) I've read Roman Juarez's comment where he says, that TED should remove this talk. Simple question: Why? He isn't spreading inappropriate matters (as racial discrimination, vowing to hatred or something similar). He is just telling his vision of Mexico's repair. So, why should he be prohibited? In world history there was many attempts to do something like this, and we name this action as CENSORSHIP!
3) Posting this talk -- the first TEDTalk in non-English language -- is a good step. I think, other languages (e.g. Spanish or Polish) are as valuable and has the same achievements as English. I hope, new better era started on TEDTalk.
A comment on Conversation: Do you have a suggestion for TED? Something we could do better?
In my opinion for e.g. Polish section should consist of translated tags catalog (e.g. Biology, Politics, Inspiring, Technology, and so on, and so forth) and search engine using this language. That would be really short cut for many people, who are begginers in english, but who are interested in ideas worth spreading.
What are your opinions? What can be added? Is it good idea?
A comment on Talk: Stefan Sagmeister: 7 rules for making more happiness
Is the happiness reserved only for moneyed people? Or maybe all people, whose proffesion is plain (e.g. taxi driver) are obligatory happy? -- I don't think so! Want of universal advices.
A reply on Talk: Patricia Ryan: Don't insist on English!
But here, we focus why English? Why we not teach Chineese even though the most people on the world speak this language?
