An idea worth spreading

Watching the second airplane fly down over Manhattan and directly witnessing it crash into the South Tower on September 11, 2001 was an experience as close as I could have had to living through the bombing of Pearl Habor on December 7, 1941. In New York 2001, there were officially 2752 deaths versus 2350 at Pearl Harbor. My grandfather was captain of a boat in the USN in the Philippines on the night of Dec 8 1941. On Sep 11, 2001, I was running a company based out of New York. I was named after my grandfather, except I never knew him. I have spent more than 15 years studying his life and untimely death December 15, 1944 after 2 1/2 years as a POW in the Philippines. As comparable as those two "days of infamy" might be, I still know that we are lucky to live in these times and remain deeply thankful for the sacrifices of the greatest generation that made it possible.

Sebastian Wernicke: Lies, damned lies and statistics (about TEDTalks)
Glad to hear you POV Sebastian on the elements that have wider meaning. Even if the colour stats were there perhaps to confound, it looked like orange, red and yellow are colours to avoid (or be neutral!) -- perhaps colour is more important as a general setting. Would love to know if bullet pointed [powerpoint] presentations can be correlated to a bad presentation! I enjoyed monkeying around with your gettedpad too. And I am still glad that TED hammers home the 18 minute limit as I believe that the exercise of concision makes ALL speakers stay on track.
