Who is a great teacher?
I think Erik, He does put forth his point of view; I do not think it is entertaining~ Of course it is presented in a fun way but the seriousness can be realized by everyone of us. What in your opinion should be the alternative view for the same?

Who is a great teacher?
Dear Scott Armstrong, Thanks for your posting. However, Do great teachers make you think and encourage questions and feel not at all ashamed to say that he does not know the answer. Is it possible to do it in a class and still have the respect of students? In my opinion if a teacher will be more respected if he or she says that he needs time to answer.

Who is a great teacher?
Dear Tom Comerford. Thanks for posting and pointing out the most important role of teacher~ to help students develop critical-thinking skills. Please watch these two videos. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9e4iFx2Gm0A&feature=relmfu ( Don't lecture me~ a fascinating journey into history to present). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSVFZFek4E8&feature=relmfu ( insights on education at Hong Kong experience by one of the finest teachers. However, I really do not know how to approach the problem of given syllabus ( as in India) and the teacher is supposed to deliver the same, with least deviations and for examinations. Any thoughts?
