how does an embarassing moment brings out the weirdest person in us?
I stop thinking, at least rationaly, get hasty and loose orientation, or freeze My face gets red and I can not find the right words. But worst is, embarassing situations often can be made in to greate storys about how we coped with them. Knowing that, I come up with all sorts of ways, how I should have reakted. Fast good reaction takes praktise and it not easy to get my self praktising embarassing situations.

Has the advancement of medicine halted human evolution?
I would say, we are just an other specalised form of life. The birds get better at flying, the cats at catching mice. We get better in using tools, altering our enviorement and outsourcing our abilities, because, this is what we do, it is human to do so. Medicine will not stop the human evolution, it will speed it up. Why? Because it alters the circumstances under wich we live and mankind has to adapt to it. The souces of our abilities relocate from our DNA to our brains and to the machines we build. If you live untroubled whit a deathly disease, because medicine can help you, you are not ill, but well adapted to an enviorement, that provides this help. If we would live on the ground of the oceans, our dependence on air could be considdered as illness, as well, as our dependece on medicine and technology could be considered as disease, if we would have to live with out them. But both things are equally not the case. We live with and in kulture not despite of nature, but because of our nature. :)

Given a chance to run a country in Africa,18 million people, 86% literacy, agriculture based economy, poor infrastructure what would you do?
-Hopefully, I could take advatage of the problem of overaging in western societies and there fear, to become unimportant because of the sheer amount of people in China and India by inviting industrial countries, to found immigrant preparation centers all over the country, were people can learn there languages, get trained in needed professions and tested on there health, skills and political opinion. This would bring mony to the local food markets, increase the number of persons, who work in a richer country and support there families at home, it would provide the hope for a better life and channel the energie of those, who are dissatisfied. The centers also might help, to build up infrastructure. The country would save mony on education using the partly trained dropouts and it would be easyer to outsource jobs to this land because of the language skills. -I would make prostitution formally gouvernmant-controled, treat all sexual activety of not marryed couples as prostitution allow only healthy people to get married and spend not much mony on enforcing this. -To increase there dependency upon each other and to connect them with the internet, I would encourage the village communities to build a man powered telegraph-network with the technology described in this talk: http://www.ted.com/talks/harald_haas_wireless_data_from_every_light_bulb.html Just for a start.
