I'm passionate about

New tecnologies, gadgets and talks that make me think about my habits and convictions.

An idea worth spreading

Universities have to create programs for comunity assistance and have to provide ways to students create whatever they create. We need this!

Talk to me about

people, human behavior, tecnologies, funny stuff, GOOD music, college news(activities), ciences(in general), marketing, how stuffs work.

People don't know that I'm good at

Writting texts and translating texts...but it's a secret...shhhhhhhhhhhh...

My TED Story

My first TED was the J.J. Abrahams that I found watching videos on Youtube.
I don't know why, actually I can't remember, I saw the J.J's TED. Was Destiny *-*
I posted on my blog: "So...this is a TED, but I don't know what it is. Watch and take your impressions"
Then I always visit TED.com and search for new talks, its kind a hob.
Once Upon a time I saw a video that had no translation to Portuguese, my first language, then I decided to be a TED Translator to translate talks to 'my people'. =D

Apr 3 2012: The 'pro' guy used some tricks to convince, like the t-shirt. It' is important to notice that people were manipulated by Stewart. He is more captivating than Jacobson and used it in a very smart way. By the way, the 'con' group increased after the debate.
    Interessting.

A comment on Talk: Lennart Green: Close-up card magic with a twist

Sep 19 2011: It's so simple and basic. He fools us and we know, but the acting make the number stoning.
he has a lot of jokes and surprises all along the tricks.
There are too many ackward moviments and you see he watching cards and stuff but you cant do it like he does.
I saw it two times and still impressed.

  • A reply on Conversation: what qualifies as an authentic culture? are some cultures more authentic than others?

Jul 4 2011: Any contact with people from a diferent culture impacts the native culture. It's impossible get a 100% authentic and unique culture.
  • A comment on Conversation: what qualifies as an authentic culture? are some cultures more authentic than others?

Jul 4 2011: I dare to say there is no authentic culture. Everything is based in something.
Take music by example. Or american culture that was strongly influenced by imigrants' culture(Europe, Japan, Africa, Mexico).
    Everything is a remix.
  • A comment on Conversation: who built Giza Pyramid?
